Job Description


Position Summary with Job Responsibilities Design & CAD Modelling of Closures parts and Assemblies as per engineering guidelines and check lists. Creation and Management of product data structure in PLM and ensure BOM Quality. To support development of Design Standards & Carryover Strategy in line with defined Technical Policy and Technology Roadmap for Sub-Module (XX) and engineering of the Sub-Module (XX) for the projects in line with the standards. Create Technical Proposals for New Concepts & resolution of Technical Issues or Design to meet attributes. Concept & Feasibility of Class A Surface released by Design team for Closures & Glasses. Interaction with Design Studios for resolving engineering and Manufacturing issues before release of Class A. Making engineering proposals for detail design. Interaction with CFT which includes Int. Trims / Ext Trims / Electricals / Mechanisms / Sealing / BIW / Quality / Manufacturing / Design. Support in VAVE (Weight & Cost reduction) for existing vehicles. Support for Proto release & Proto shop / testing activities. Support Body Shop implementation during PP / SOP phase. Education Bachelor of Engineering Work Experience 2 to 8 Years Software:- Catia V5R25 With good modelling skills and expert in best modelling practices Knowledge: General Construction, Materials & Technologies required, Regulations, Test Standards & Requirements that have to be met, Interface with other aggregates. Six Sigma Tools (DFMEA, DFM, DFA & DFS), GD&T, EPS and the NPI Process. Cost drivers. Tools: Working knowledge of Engineering Tools (XX), PLM Systems, MINT3, RMDVV and other internal systems For e.g. (Closures): Sheet Metal Forming, Joinery Processes, Sheet Metal Design, Sealing Materials & Processes, Body Construction methods & implication on engineering. Requirements including Crash, Durability, Stiffness, Strength & manufacurability. (Glasses): Interaction with Glass suppliers for manufacturing feasiblity of fixed & movable glasses.
