The IT Testing function sits within the IT \xe2\x80\x93 Platform Engineering team. This function performs a vital role in all technology\xe2\x80\x99s projects. The test management team drives test management across a wide range of projects and portfolios. This is a dynamic team that ensures quality is built into Vodafone\xe2\x80\x99s exciting new products & services and ensures we deliver a great customer experience. We are looking for an indidivual who can drive testing success across a number of large customer centric releases! These are large releases spanning many months with 100s of testers and 1000s of tests so the individual in this role will need to have experience in running test programmes of this size and scale.
You will gain experience working with a world class testing service, work across large programmes and get to interact with major stakeholders in all areas of Vodafone. Your position as a IT Test Authority will focus on defining the full E2E test approach, supporting/monitoring test preparation/execution and day to day test management across these strategic Customer Centric Stack releases.

Job Responsibility

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Accountable for test management at an IT programme / project level.
• Lead an offshore team of testers working across your project.
• Act as a point of decision around test approach, strategy and escalation on behalf of programme & portfolio stakeholders.
• Champion continual service improvement across UK IT
• Role model VF way behaviours across the function.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Expert in testing methodologies, test management and associated practices.
• Experience working with offshore teams and services
• Test Management experience across major IT projects & programmes.
• Experience running test programmes across technologies in the industry
• Must have telecom experience
• Experience in test automation frameworks and tools as well as driving automated testing successfully on test programmes

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• ISTQB (Advanced preferably).
• TMMi experience or certification (desirable).
