In the HPE Chief Technology Office, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. The GreenLake Platform is a unified operational experience that provides a simplified view and access to all cloud services, spanning the entire HPE portfolio, with single sign-on access, security, compliance, elasticity, and data protection. The Greenlake Cloud Platform is the foundation to a rich set of cloud services in networking, data services, high performance computing and compute operations management. The Greenlake Platform team offers the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to contribute to architecting and building the platform and applications on a top distributed backend.   • Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the GreenLake SecOps team, setting clear objectives, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment across our collective stakeholders.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive GreenLake security operations strategy aligned with the overall security and business goals of the organization. Help transform the way we secure our platform through automation and industry leading best practices.
  • Team Management: Lead a geographically dispersed team of security professionals, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, and ensuring their continuous professional development.
  • Vulnerability Response: Drive and enable an effective vulnerability response program, ensuring the team is well-prepared to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Security Architecture: Collaborate with the architecture and engineering teams to design and implement secure GreenLake solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all GreenLake security practices align with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and maintain relevant certifications where necessary.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers to support flexible resource enablement and operations of our global team.
  • Security Operations: Oversee day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, vulnerability management, automation enablement for secure best practices, and the maintenance of security tools and technologies across our GreenLake estate.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for the GreenLake SecOps organization, optimizing resources for maximum security impact.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with executive leadership and other stakeholders to provide updates on the security posture, incidents, and mitigation strategies.
What you need to bring:
  • First level university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced university degree preferred.
  • 10 or more years of software development related work experience, including 5 or more years of people management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, conflict resolution, and management.
  • Strong technical leadership skills to work closely with a senior team of software developers
  • Experience with and deep understanding of cloud-native application development, containerization, Kubernetes, micro-services, and go/rust/python programming.
  • Experience with leading teams in automating CI/CD process including automated tests, monitoring, and alarming with PagerDuty support.
  • Strong agile software leadership skills including feature backlog grooming, story generation, and sprint planning.
  • Ability to work with software architects and product management to understand business and product requirements
  • Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation)
  • Ability to manage people across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results
  • Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English.
  • Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
