We are inviting applications for the role of SM, Reinsurance

In this role, you'll be responsible for entire reinsurance service delivery for a leading UK based specialty lines reinsurer. You will function as an operating leader and partner with client Reinsurance CFO and team across three client locations - UK, US and APAC and deliver treaty and facultative submission, bind processing for a portfolio of $80MM.

Your role will function as an overlay of existing domain experts in reinsurance on operational rigor for a first time outsourcer and bring value through process and people management skills.

You will be expected to be focused on complementing BPO delivery with transformation in reinsurance, driving 40% committed efficiency over a 5-year horizon, partnering with internal RPA and six sigma teams.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering SLAs and KPIs in running end to end reinsurance portfolio for client across three geographies of APAC, UK and US, with no onshore retained staff.
• Handle direct responsibility of 60+ staffing for this niche and complex area across reinsurance treaty and facultative.
• Ensure stable operating model amidst renewal rush quarterly and annual reinsurance renewal, displaying agility, experiential client handling and people management
• Drive transformation and standardization across three operating geographies to converge delivery under center of excellence lens
• Be the primary point of contact for client's reinsurance center of excellence in India
• Deliver zero surprise operational delivery and manage cycles of renewal surge (Dec-Jan; Mar-Apr; June-July; Sep-Oct)
• Work with transformation teams to drive committed efficiency and digital initiatives in niche domain
• Mentor a niche team of 60+ reinsurance professionals and drive career pathing

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor in any stream
• Experience in BPO/KPO
• Robust Reinsurance operations experience, with experience of handling 50+ direct team in prior reinsurance roles
• Expertise in data handling and smart operations

Preferred qualifications

• Certified Associate in Reinsurance (The Institutes) or Equivalent London market reinsurance
• Six sigma certified
• Prior experience in transition set-up in Reinsurance
