Our team is seeking Sr. Manager of Product Management (Technical) to manage large, cross-functional programs and projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of high-calibre product managers, delivering large projects end-to-end that span multiple technology and operational teams. These projects will include initiatives such as rolling out new technology to new geographies as we expand, creating new technology to support new businesses and use cases, and otherwise building great technology platforms that can scale to Amazon's size and across many Amazon devices including Fire Tablets and Fire TV. This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, user experience design, economists, hardware teams, operations, finance, and executive teams to envision, develop, and launch innovative products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong people management, exceptional product management and organizational skills, have a high-degree of customer obsession, along with ability to manage and execute against aggressive goals. A strong grasp of program management, product development, analytics, and data driven decision making is crucial. The ability to communicate ideas with conviction, partnering with their engineering counterpart to influence/collaborate with their team, senior leaders, and colleagues in multiple partner teams around the world will be vital to this candidate's success. Appstore is a global team with key sites in the US, India, Japan, and across Europe.

• Lead the definition, design and construction of large scale products that delight and engage customers
• Drive teams on development of product strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis
• Lead teams to develop detailed, crisp business requirements, user stories, and product specifications
• Inspire the team, colleagues and leadership to help bring new initiatives and products to life.
• Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience and performance
• Identify and resolve strategic issues to meet team's strategic, financial, and technical goals
• Communicate product plans and results that influence senior executives
• Being a passionate customer advocate by deeply understanding and articulating the customer needs through research, expertise, and prioritization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required, MBA degree is a plus
• 10+ years product management or similar field of experience
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Demonstrated experience of hiring and developing teams
• Experience managing products through entire life cycle - from inception to launch.

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders successfully without formal authority and lead cross-functional teams across geographies
• Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is required and ambiguity is constant
• Experience with managing digital fraud and abuse.
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
