We are looking for a detail-oriented, technical Product Designer with an understanding of process design and systems design, who is equipped to collaborate across teams and translate complex problems. This role is central to meeting business needs and user experience for all R&D functions.
About R&D Tech, R&D Operations R&D Digital & Tech is at the forefront, working hand in hand with R&D business functions and applying industry leading technologies, a product-centric org structure and an agile delivery approach to deliver value. R&D Operations addresses the business needs of Portfolio management & governance bodies, Pipeline Project Management, Strategy Resource Management, R&D Finance and Business Development. Technology aligned to this area will cover the breadth of acquiring, managing and transforming operational data pertinent to planning and managing R&D programs. We equip R&D leaders with the essential details of upcoming project milestones, resource needs and capacity, so that trade-off decisions can be made nimbly in support of the evolving portfolio. The Senior Manager, Product Design, R&D Operations role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

• Developing a solid understanding of the business domain and processes through user research techniques and translating these into personas, journey maps and user stories that deliver solution design and improvements
• Creating business process flows and product design documents (e.g., information blueprinting, system integration diagrams, conceptual data model)
• Connecting with engineers to ensure shared understanding of design feasibility, conceptual / logical / physical data modelling, design integrity and accurate technical implementation
• Understanding of high-level technical concepts (e.g., data structures, architecture), combined with critical thinking to assess viability of solutions
• Driving design activities to improve user interfaces through wireframing, prototyping and ideation workshops
• Collaborating with an Agile team to size, iterate on, review, and deliver work
• Working across products and product families within R&D Operations
• Providing coaching and mentoring on technical design excellence to product team members and actively participating in the R&D Tech Designer Guild

Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
• Demonstrated experience creating high quality personas, user journeys, process flows, conceptual data models, wireframes, and interface mockups
• Demonstrated experience with information blueprinting and creation of system integration diagrams and process flow diagrams
• Experience in Business Analysis / User Research and Usability
• Experience working in an IT product related industry, in the areas of IT software analysis, design or delivery (both analytical and technical)
• Strong creativity, problem solving, collaboration, communication, attention to detail and presentation skills
• Experience in or strong awareness of Agile

Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Experience of Pharmaceuticals processes and systems
• Experience with conceptual / logical / physical data models
• Experience with creating dashboards and Data Visualization and Business Intelligence tools (ex: Power BI)
• Understanding of / experience in product design and systems design
