Job Description

To anchor accurate collation of data pertaining to all functions at Nexval and analyse the same for appropriate MIS to enable the CEO take appropriate and timely decision in the long and short terms with respect to existing and future businesses.

Job Title : Sr. Manager MIS Location : Kolkata Experience : 2- 3 Years Role: To anchor accurate collation of data pertaining to all functions at Nexval and analyse the same for appropriate MIS to enable the CEO take appropriate and timely decision in the long and short terms with respect to existing and future businesses To anchor the strategic planning and budgeting process in coordination with Finance, HR and other Business Heads and monitor productivity, utilisation of resources and budget, exploitation of market potential through data collation and analysis towards driving business growth and profitability To conduct Root Cause Analysis for any deviation from budget or strategic plan to enable Corrective and Preventive Action Planning and implementation by respective Business and Function Heads To oversee legal and statutory compliance in coordination with respective process owners to keep the CEO advised of status and any potential of future liability. Job Responsibilities: Assists the CEO in decision making through the following initiatives: o Benchmarks with other players in the industry and referencing on any topic to aid growth of current businesses and new ventures in future o Interfaces with trade bodies, investors, auditors and key clients, as required o Collates of data with respect to incidents/ failures/ variances, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) towards accurate decision for Corrective and Preventive Action Planning (CAPA) o Prepares daily, weekly, monthly dashboards and reports with respect to all business verticals/ functions through collation of data and systematic analysis using problem solving tools with focus on the following: Turnover and revenue New clients and market segments Portfolio of products and services and their comparative ratios Profitability Budget allocation and utilisation Productivity indices for resource utilisation and efficiency ratios Tracks achievement vis a vis plan and budgets and effectiveness of activities undertaken External and internal customer feedback analysis Risk mitigation measures and improvement areas New initiatives and their implementation New business opportunities and feasibility Anchors the strategic planning and budgeting process in collaboration with the core leadership team and function heads and contributes towards profit maximisation through the following activities: o Analysis of historical data, trends, market dynamics and forecasts of each business vertical and function to present MIS to CEO with respect to synergy with organisation transformation agenda and feasibility of success o Analysis cost forecast submitted by departmental heads of various cost centres in the context of evolving resourcing needs a o Assistance for preparation and presentation of Annual Budget o Monitoring performance in the context of the approved Annual Budget o Tracking of margins and ROI vs a vis strategic plan and budget o Analysing variances through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and suggesting Corrective and Preventive Action Planning (CAPA) to process owners to control costs and improve efficiencies o Tracking implementation of Corrective and Preventive Action Planning (CAPA) within timelines and effect on budget compliance Oversees legal and statutory compliance in coordination with respective process owners and relevant external professionals to keep the CEO advised of status and any potential of future liability through gap analysis and possible corrective action with respect to the following: o ISO 27001, SOC2 and SOC3 with respect to Information security compliance as mandated by the client and industry norms Vulnerability and Penetration Test (VAPT) results of outsourced agencies Risk assessment of all processes o Legal matters with focus on: Progress of legal cases involving attendance, submission of documents etc. Incumbent Profile: Education Finance experience with 2-3 years experience Experience of working with banks or others finacila service providers/ IT companies will be preferred Functional : Competencies Proficiency with analytical tools and problem solving methods Proficiency Accounting and Accounting standards Adequate knowledge of Statutes and their application Leadership : Competencies Demonstrates Strategic Orientation, Passion for Excellence, Analytical and Creative Thinking in Problem Solving, Takes Accountability, Collaborates Effectively and Embraces Change Values : Demonstrates Ownership, Long Term Perspective, Agility as well as the ability for Working Together and Continuous Learning Internal audit reports with respect to policy compliance Reduction in litigation Performs any other activity that may be required for improving the efficiency of the CEO's office
