Role:
The BIM Manager\xe2\x80\x99s role is to understand and communicate how BIM will affect project workflows, deliverables and project management throughout company. The primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files and models, for both our Commercial and Datacenter verticals. This will include the development of a work plan/roadmap for the development, implementation and quality assurance checks needed for full BIM integration with projects.

Key responsibilities:
  • Should have worked in MEP industry (preferably Consultant/Contracting firms) in Mechanical Design/Engineering role.
  • Should have worked in Design/Engineering of Datacentre/Commercial projects.
  • Should be technically sound in HVAC, PHE & Firefighting systems for projects in Building engineering/Datacentre segment.
  • Should be able to comprehend the MEP tender/GFC documents received from Consultant/Client consisting of BOQ, Specifications, Drawings in Cad as well as Revit and raise RFIs to the Consultant/Client.
  • Should be able to lead a team of Engineers, Draughtsman & Revit Modellers for successful delivery of engineering deliverables like shop drawings (Chilled water schematics, Ventilation schematics, CHW Piping/ducting layout, Mechanical Plant room layout, PHE & FF schematics, Sprinkler pipe sizing layout, MEP terrace coordination layouts, etc.), Revit model (from LOD 300 to 400 & 500) to the Consultants/Client for approval.
  • Must be able to communicate & coordinate effectively with the Consultants/Clients for all design related issues and get proper drawings with resolved RFIs in minimum TAT for timely & proper site execution.
  • Must be able to communicate & coordinate effectively with all the Project managers at site & provide all the required design inputs timely in order to enable them to work to work effectively at site.
  • Must have excellent technical ability & thorough understanding of Heat load calculation, Basement ventilation with CFD analysis, Water demand calculations, Sprinkler sizing calculation, Fire pressurization calculations, Duct & CHW pipe sizing calculations, etc.
  • Should have good understanding of other services like Electrical, ELV systems, Civil Interior fitouts in order to coordinate effectively with these services.
  • Should be able to review whether the Mechanical execution works at site is in line with approved engineering deliverables.
  • Should be able to resolve design related coordination issues highlighted by Client/Consultant/Project Manager.
  • Should be able to deliver As-built drawings as per project requirement.

Qualifications and education requirements:
12-15 years of experience with BE / B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred skills:
  • Sound knowledge of handling MEP Engineering team
  • Know-how of AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Ductsizer software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical and Decision-making skills
  • Ability to foster collaborative work environment
  • Site Execution knowledge preferable
  • Should be creative and innovative
