Job Summary
Senior Manager, Data Science Lead, Commercial IT will serve as the technical SME for Data Science related IT projects for Sun Pharma Commercial & Brand business. This Mumbai based role is part of US Commercial & Brand IT that owns and supports the technology stack in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Market Research and Commercial Operations. As a data scientist, this role will be responsible for collection and analyses of large and complex data sets. Primary focus for this role will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality predictive models and systems. Responsibilities include using analytics and reporting tools to find patterns and relationships in specific data sets on patients, prescribers and payers and help discover actionable insights. This role will report to the Director, Commercial & Brand IT and help deliver overall requirements of Commercial Analytics ecosystem that includes Business Intelligence, Master Data Management and Data-Warehouse platform.
Areas Of Responsibility
- Create data driven analyses, machine learning methods to augment the business decision making process and apply analytical concepts with minimal guidance
- Play a key role in creation of the 360 degree view of Commercial & Brand business customers (HCP - Health Care Professionals)
- Work closely with business teams to implement analytics/ML based methods to be aligned with the business requirements, ability for critical thinking, and having a systematic and logical approach to problem-solving
- Actively contribute for all elements of analytics method development - concept notes & analytics design, concept user testing (UAT), presentation and solution rollout
- Continuously innovate and evolve existing offering to improve performance and quality of deliverables
