Role Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Responsible for tracking the consolidated performance of India CCIB function. Provide value add through comprehensive understanding of financials, storyboarding and analysis to support their decision making and strategic development.

Business Support

  • The role covers India FTOM to support region level business & group initiatives.
  • Month end closing of P&L and tracking against Forecasted Income for the month.
  • End-to-End Ownership of the MI used for discussion with CFO.
  • RWA and Balance Sheet analysis to help business drive the group strategy of achieving higher RoTE.
  • Co-ordination with various FP&A stakeholders (country / region / Group) on providing various walks for actuals (YoY, vs Budget, vs Outlook, etc) for tabling India financials in the Asia and group discussion fora.
  • Discussion with the BPMs / Business heads on the deals in Pipeline for Loan Book for LMF projections preparations for ALCO.
  • Analysing the NIM movement by breaking down into key attributes like GII, FTP, PSL, etc for tabling in ALCO and CMT.
  • Effective control on the month-end process for the Loan products to ensure all the necessary costs are correctly accounted for.
  • Preparation of models for Budgeting purposes
  • Tracking the balance sheet movements at a client level for the purpose of LMF projections for the month
  • Support the requirements for regional performance reviews and executive meetings such as CCIB Monthly Performance, Monthly Global Banking Review and the CCIB Management Meeting
  • Provide timely & accurate financial information / MIS to enable strategic decision making
  • Support Balance Sheet, capital and liquidity requirements through an understanding of its impact on consolidated business performance and support active balance sheet management for strategic planning
Financial Controls
  • Ensure robust financial processes in place to report revenue, cost and balance sheet for CCIB in an accurate and timely manner
  • Support ALCO for capital and liquidity inputs and active balance sheet management for strategic planning
  • Ensure compliance with Group / IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control policy, and other regulatory accounting guidelines
Team Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness
  • End to end support to the CCIB Finance team covering all outlines for e.g. business performance reports, analytics, planning and partnering with various finance and business stakeholders
  • Lead and manage the team and to develop the staff to take up different/more value-added roles
  • Contribute to any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank process

Our Ideal Candidate
  • A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industry
  • Experienced in corporate banking products, booking models, accounting treatments
  • Sound working knowledge on the Balance Sheet projections, deal pipeline analysis along with analysing the RWA efficiencies.
  • Sound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniques
  • A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations
