Job Description

Overview of Position:

The Senior Director for HR will have oversight for the Human Resources in India. This role will be critical in providing leadership to the teams, contributing to their growth, development, operations and strategic direction.

Essential Functions:

- Build an effective and high performing team, providing leadership, development, performance management and efficient, scaleable team infrastructure

- Consider and recommend creative and innovative solutions to continuously improve HR functions across India while ensuring the organization is compliant, and mitigating risks.

- Play a leadership role in deploying new and revised HR systems in India.

- Partner and collaborate closely with regional and operational leaders through day to day operations, launch new campuses, orient new leaders in the geographies in the areas of labour laws, employee engagement policy & practice

- Collaborate with all internal departments to ensure alignment and communication of the departmental goals and strategies, HR practices and processes and partner on company initiatives

- Establish and maintain appropriate systems and processes for measuring and reporting on HR issues, opportunities and development.

- Oversight of all areas of people centric activities, including, employee relations, discipline, culture, performance management, recruiting, sourcing, retention, health and safety, and onboarding

- Evaluate and advise on the impact of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the organization

- Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets

- Evaluate the teams' structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as for providing individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities

- Understand the different employment legislative environment for India, Hyderabad and other Local Government Units we operate in, and develop plans and practices with these in mind.

- Participate as a contributing member of the local leadership team

- Partner closely with the Global departments, including the Global People & Process teams to understand, educate and implement improvements

Critical Skills:

- Exceptional communication skills (oral/written) to effectively interact with diverse groups of people

- Experience managing and leading a large and diverse team and function

- Establishes credibility throughout the organization to be an effective listener, problem solver and responsive expert on people concerns

- Strong experience in the BPO industry is a strong asset, and with India labor law and maintaining compliance to all pertinent regulations, practices, and legal requirements

- Strong experience handling escalated situations and people to effective resolution

- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

- Superior attention to detail

- Excellent time and project management skills

- Ability to work in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
