Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager - Hardware Asset Management

End to End responsibility of the Hardware Asset Management across India and other Geographies.

Responsibilities
The main responsibility is to administer hardware assets throughout their life cycle. End top end cycle includes: -

  • Planning the changes in hardware infrastructure and implementing processes that would facilitate controlling asset acquisition, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Responsible for reconciling hardware inventory with IT assets data.
  • Ensuring internal hardware control audits are in place to verify the accuracy of the hardware asset portfolio.
Following skills:
  • Exposure to Service Now
  • Understand the hardware environment within the enterprise and its topology
  • Understand corporate and government IT asset regulations
  • Understand the hardware life cycle and be able to map its stages to the relevant asset management processes in the company
  • Manage Capacity Planning through effective forecasting on Org requirements and maintaining a min asset base in various geo's
  • Accountable & responsible for complete Capacity Planning cycle for end point assets
  • Work closely with ETO, Transition and M&A teams for new requirements
/ Growth / Ramp-ups
  • Validate the stocks position and plan for internal allocation or Procurement
  • Ensure timely release of Purchase requisitions for all upcoming requirements.
  • Validate the End-of-life assets status and assist in capacity planning for refresh
  • Assist in Capacity Planning and availability for day-to-day operations (catering to single user service requests or incidents).
  • Escalation handling across all the sites and ensuring smooth function and error free operations
  • Carry out different analysis in capacity planning, consumption and availability and implement changes/new things for improvements.
  • Ensure best practices in place by Identifying processes and guidelines that need to be streamlined to improve overall Capacity management process
  • Preparing projections for assets to be procured next year for OP plan purpose.
  • Take Projections from Corporate hiring team for population joining and reserve those assets in respective locations. In case of unavailability, advise IT sourcing team to do necessary arrangements.
  • Capacity Planning and availability of End Point accessories / Peripherals on quarterly basis.
  • Organize review Meetings with IT Sourcing team for open cases lying in IT Sourcing. Escalate to all concerned for solutions.
  • Review Meeting with IT stores/ EUC Team to understand their daily operational issues & provide them appropriate support as and when required
  • Validate and approve transfer of laptop cases from Corporate IT point of view based on the policy.
  • Approve other items request in terms of "Temporary Laptops & Desktops Request" & "Lost Consumable Items" from Corporate IT point of view based on the policy.
  • Work with EUC Ops lead for various Productivity Initiatives being run from time to time.
  • Plan for Inventory Optimization (Temp Laptops Recovery, more than 1 laptop)
  • Assist EUC Team & stores team to re-use the workable spares from faulty/ EOL/repair stocks across location against open cases.
  • Manage asset deployment process
  • Establish a process thereby to Reconcile authorized assets against deployed assets
o Schedule and run reconciliation
o Review the results of the reconciliation process
  • Managing contracts
  • Identify assets associated with a contract
  • Manage the asset collection and return processes
Auditing
  • Prepare reports based on the asset repository data
  • Perform physical hardware inventory
  • Compare results
Managing hardware end-of-lease
  • Identify the hardware whose lease is expiring
  • Manage the return of those assets to vendor
  • Update asset records
Execute hardware refresh and disposal processes
  • Identify the hardware to be disposed of or refreshed
  • Manage the disposal or refreshment process
  • Update asset records
  • Manage client facing delivery teams, leading, and mentoring team towards professional services mindset
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and take initiative/make decisions under pressure Understanding of IT Process & systems.
  • Ability to identify engagement issues/risks and the confidence to pursue solutions with ley internal or external stakeholders
  • Works well in a diverse team and enjoys a dynamic environment where remote working is required
  • Highly competent at interpreting data, analyzing problems, and formulating solutions to present to management level and above.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
  • Should be a Graduate/Postgraduate from a recognized University
  • Robust HAM experience - preference would be any hands-on experience on Service Now Asset Tool.
  • Ability to handle Software Audits independently
Preferred qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified Professional experience and training of SAM or
  • Post graduate degree or higher relevant experience in IT or project management/service delivery, operational/software asset management or consulting
