Reporting to: Director, Careers Directly Managing: Interns, Consultants Every year, hundreds of members from the Teach For India community graduate and transition into our Alumni movement ready to take on roles across the Education and Development sector. Towards our ten year vision, the Careers team at Teach For India will create more opportunities for our 10000 Alumni leaders to embark and sustain career journeys that enable them to work towards educational equity while also fulfilling their personal aspirations.The Senior Manager, Careers will play a key role in identifying Alumni needs, designing transformative learning experiences, launching new partnerships, and supporting the professional growth of leaders across our Alumni network. They will work closely with regions to ensure regional vision alignment, aid cross-functional collaboration and to drive outcomes for the Regional Roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Act as a thought partner to the Director, Careers and to select Vertical Heads on strategy, annual goals, new initiatives etc. and hold a birds\xe2\x80\x99 eye view of the cities to leverage economies of scale where possible
• Identify relevant capacities & co-design experiences required for our graduating cohorts to transition into Alumni
• Design an ecosystem of differentiated support for Alumni to grow in their roles & scale their impact on children. ( differentiated by the role as well as career stage - early, mid-career, senior, etc)
• Support SMRPs and NLCs across 8 cities to better leverage Alumni databases to further their talent goals.
• Plan creative campaigns, podcasts, newsletters, reports, microsites etc. to make our initiatives and impact visible
• Cultivate strong relationships with key Alumni, industry experts and donors and actively influence them to advocate and act for educational equity

• Building a robust pipeline of talent to lead the organization
• Managing and coaching the team members to ambitious outcomes
• Driving engagement, growth, and retention of team members
• Engineering and overseeing a monitoring and evaluation system, coupled with strategic direction, to guide our abilities to continuously improve

• Contributing to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities
• Driving internal alignment and support for Teach For India\xe2\x80\x99s core Programs
• Serving as an ambassador of Teach For India and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after commiting time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply
• Supporting with key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

• Graduate/Postgraduate in any field
• 5-8+ years of relevant work experience in people management or coaching
• Experience of working with external partners
• Experience in managing, executing, and taking complete ownership of multiple projects at the same time
• Experience of having created deep meaningful learning experiences and resources for adults through strong design thinking capabilities, keeping in mind both dynamic and diverse needs of individuals.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, and proficiency in using data to drive decisions
• Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Experience of having built strong relationships and having influenced others without authority
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to solve programmatic and people-related challenges
• Previous experience working in the development/education sector preferred but not mandatory
