If you want an exciting and rewarding career that is meaningful, consider joining our diverse team!Position SummaryThe Senior Manager within Business Operations, based in Hyderabad, India, will play a critical role in driving the data related to strategic priorities for the GBDS vision and operating model. Working closely with the GBDS Associate Director and Senior Director of Business Operations, the successful candidate will collaborate with Business Operations and key stakeholders to develop a robust reporting and tracking structure that will enable strategic solutions, drive initiatives, promote inspection readiness, while supporting GBDS Portfolio and Operation needs.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team that will develop executive-level summaries and materials for reporting, providing key read-outs to the Business Operations team and potentially GBDS leadership. Monitor the progress and quality of work performed by Hyderabad associates in support of the GBDS Business Operations function.
  • Accountable for being a thought partner on how to deliver snapshots related to outsourced spend, resource allocation, and budget reconciliation of financials. Provide insights on design and execution of snapshots and reports to track compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
  • A high-level understanding of contracting and invoicing process is preferred, along with portfolio level snapshots required by teams for resource and portfolio priority decisions.
  • Monitor initiative status reports to ensure timely and accurate completion. Escalate concerns at team meetings, ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Build a strong relationship with GBDS Business Operations and TA Operation Leads to ensure transparent delivery of reporting needs.
  • Will be responsible to periodically lead strategic initiatives, while collaborating across internal and external GBDS stakeholders with diverse business backgrounds and cultures.
  • Take accountability for quality and timely deliverables related to the GBDS Business Operations Hyderabad team.
  • Proactively manage issues, but also find opportunities to develop new reports or views that will efficiently enable timely and proactive resolutions to user issues, escalating to the GBDS US Business Operations team as needed.
  • Mentor Hyderabad team members to ensure workload is balanced, while offering career growth opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-9 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry or 4+ years of equivalent consulting program management, with at least 2-3 years of experience managing teams.
  • Team Player: Strong experience in building relationships, leading strategic initiatives, and collaborating across diverse business backgrounds and cultures.
  • Effective Communicator: Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to engage and influence.
  • Quick Learner: Prior success working independently in fast-paced, adaptable, and flexible situations, while driving strategic initiatives, delivering results, and resolving issues.
  • Strong Leader: Demonstrated ability to provide direction, set expectations, and delegate responsibilities to team members in a dynamic and ambiguous environment to deliver high priority reporting requests.
  • Critical Thinker: Effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, while continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement, challenging the status quo, and thinking outside the box.
  • Action-Oriented: Pursues tasks with a sense of urgency. Shows accountability by taking ownership of responsibilities and completing them on time, with the highest quality.
  • Project Manager: Demonstrates speed and innovation to complete tasks; can simplify complex processes; can leverage resources to drive tasks/projects forward.
  • Strong proficiency in standard business software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint), including the ability to leverage advanced functions and formulas in Excel. Advanced Microsoft certification preferred.
  • Experience with design and utilization of queries, reporting, and/or dashboard features of document or data repositories, e.g., Veeva Vault, a plus.
  • Familiarity with the principles of GCP or similar guidance documents and ability to proactively ensure compliance a plus.
  • Position is based in BMS\xe2\x80\x99 Hyderabad Location with minimal travel expected.
  • Strongly proficient in written and verbal English communication to influence, inform, and guide.
