This Job is based in Australia We are excited to announce a new academic position (0.8 FTE) in the School of Psychology at UNSW. This position is to provide post-graduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology to our postgraduate Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology trainees. It is located in the Faculty of Science and is recognised nationally and internationally for its excellence in research and teaching. It offers world class undergraduate psychology degrees, as well as postgraduate professional Masters training in Clinical and Forensic Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology, an online Graduate Diploma program, and a PhD research program with over 120 students. 40 academic staff conduct experimental research in many areas of Psychology, including behavioural and cognitive neuroscience, perception, learning, memory and cognition, as well as health, social, developmental, clinical and forensic psychology. About The Role $145k - $166k plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading Continuing Part time (28 hours) The role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports. Specific Responsibilities For This Role Include Apply a well-defined teaching philosophy and a critically reflective teaching practice that inspires student learning. Conduct classes, assess student learning achievements and support students in postgraduate psychology courses in line with UNSW policy. Design and develop learning activities and resources, and assessment and feedback at both course and program level using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments. Support learning progression with students as individuals (through such things as one-to-one consultation) and as a cohort (through general course related advice) to achieve positive learning and employability outcomes for students. Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance. Maintain and develop links within the discipline industry and profession (e.g. contributes to professional development activities). Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and professional accreditation requirements. Work collaboratively with peers across the UNSW in all aspects of academic endeavour, develop learning and teaching strategies and resources and contribute to an exchange of teaching ideas, and mentoring of staff. Ensure hazards and risks are identified and controlled for tasks, projects and activities that pose a health and safety risk within your area of responsibility. Ensure the provision of high-quality psychological assessment, treatment and management of clients in the care of the UNSW Psychology and Neuropsychology Clinics and affiliated Clinics are maintained. Develop, coordinate and maintain a network of suitable placements for trainees in the Masters of Clinical Neuropsychology, collaborating with the Placement Coordinator. Contribute to the management of activities within the UNSW Psychology and Neuropsychology Clinics, including the provision of high-quality psychological assessment, treatment and management of clients in the care of the Clinics. Provide specialist Clinical Neuropsychology input around referrals, assessment and treatment of clients being seen within the Clinics, as well as coordination and supervision of group programs. Involvement in clinical research projects associated with the UNSW Neuropsychology Clinic and the UNSW Psychology Clinic Research Database. Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the psychosocial or physical health and safety of yourself or others. About The Successful Applicant (Selection Criteria) To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have A postgraduate level qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist with area of practice endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology. Recognition as a Board-approved Supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia. Demonstrated experience in Clinical Neuropsychology practice over 10 years post-endorsement. Demonstrated experience in supervision of Provisional and Registered Psychologists, including Clinical Neuropsychology Registrars. Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and development. Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others. Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching. Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement. Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills. Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity diversity and inclusion initiatives. An understanding of and commitment to UNSW\'s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines. Knowledge of health and safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
