We are Technology & Acceleration group provides highly agile, optimized, fully automated services to our capital markets clients globally.

What you will be doing

Provide a single point of contact for FIS project managers and engineers, customers and vendors for procurement and install of network services and/or equipment from designated vendors ensuring procured network services and/or equipment meets FIS customers and lines of business needs. Experienced support role requiring high skill with extensive proficiency. Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated, or a senior peer needs to be consulted. Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel. Consults with senior peers on moderate to complex processes to learn through experience. Typically requires five to seven years of experience in a provisioning role or related discipline.

What you bring:

Knowledge / Experience

Prepares documents and updates databases as relates to circuit quotes, justification for service orders and circuit/equipment order requests.

Provides technical support and assistance to engineers and users ensuring requirements are met at time of procurement.

Coordinates circuit provisioning and remote testing activities with engineers, vendors, business partners and customers.

Coordinates network equipment shipping and delivery to network engineering groups.

Assists in supporting network equipment configuration and wireless devices in support of network engineers or users.

Attends weekly status calls with vendors to track status of orders.

Engages internal departments to identify process, system and implementation issues to establish a common understanding and encourage solutions.

Maintains inventory in TEMS database as a centralized resource for all procured and customer provided network services/equipment for internal and external customers.

Maintains TEMS database to track procurement of network service orders from all carriers and document both FIS and customer owned telecommunication facilities (circuits) at all FIS managed sites.

Demonstrates strong communication and customer service by engaging internal/external customers and recording a complete and timely recount of work activities, equipment configuration details and test results into order notes.

Ensures department standards of production, timeliness, customer satisfaction and quality are achieved.

May be required to work independently outside normal business hours.

Other related duties assigned as needed.

Skills

Broad knowledge of network design, configuration, operations and administration with strong leadership skills

Knowledge of network technologies, i.e., routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, DNS

Knowledge of basic IT technologies, i.e., operating systems, network devices, software development and architecture

Knowledge of data network architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols

Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors

Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.

Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills

Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.

Proven project management skills

Demonstrated customer-focused leadership ability.

Qualifications
