Job Description

Responsibilities

• Integrate computer vision algorithms and supporting functions on embedded platforms for automated driving applications
• Work on state of the art multithreaded, multi-core SoC platform running RTOS
• Work on product development compliant with automotive processes and standards like ISO26262 and ASIL
• Perform research into new embedded architectures / platforms to ensure the organisation remains in line with all leading edge / emerging automotive vision technologies
• Opportunity to work on next generation SOC platforms in complex systems for leading OEMs in the automotive industry
• Support Intellectual Property activities and generate Invention Disclosure Memos to facilitate patent applications.
• Role may require occasional travel to other company/customer locations

Required Skills/Experience

• 10+ years of experience with software development using C/C++ on embedded platforms (e.g. ARM and DSP)
• Familiarity with resource / load sharing and synchronisation techniques for multi-core processing
• Design & development of Computer vision algorithm on embedded platform
• Computer vision algorithm knowledge
• TI DSP & EVE, Renesas DSP, CVe & IMP-X5+ knowledge
• Porting & Optimization of computer vision algorithms on embedded platform
• Good debugging skill on embedded platform
• Knowledge of basic computer vision algorithms and image formats
• Background in development tools and methodologies (build systems, configuration management-Git/Hg etc.)
• Knowledge of embedded processor internals (specific hardware blocks and peripherals).
• Exposure to object oriented software design principles
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle

Desired Attributes

• Experience with parallel programming in CUDA, or OpenCL , OpenVX,
• Expertise on Broadcom Pixel processor ? Understanding of prototyping/scripting tools such as MATLAB, Python, OpenCV etc
• Familiarity with documenting software architecture and design using UML or similar tools
• Experience in multi-core video processing algorithms
• Knowledge of automotive processes and standards such as ISO26262 and ASIL.
• Worked in a regulated industry such as automotive or aerospace

Qualifications

Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Electronics

High level of innovation and motivation

Excellent written and spoken English language skills
