Equities Technology solve some of the most interesting and complex challenges in the financial industry to help our global business and its customers succeed. Shipping code early and often using Agile and DevOps principles is critical for us to deliver business value, with continuous improvement and learning at the centre of everything we do.

The Cash Equities Technology team runs the order management and execution stack right from client FIX message in through to order message on the exchange. The team is responsible to develop and own the next generation cloud-native Streaming Data platform for all order and trade data. The team develops building blocks for this strategic platform which will become central pillar of our future state architecture. The platform would be developed using agile mindset using highly automated deployment pipeline.The team spans the 3 main trading hubs (Hong Kong, New York, London), with team members in six locations (Pune, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, New York, London and Krakow).

We are looking for a Head of the Cash Equities Post Trade Streaming Data Platform. The job requires candidate to have ability to provide Engineering Leadership, demonstrate design thinking and critical problem-solving skills. Candidate should demonstrate ability to build scalable architecture led solution and clear communication skills in geographically spread multi-cultural environment. Candidate is expected to collaborate across teams across globe to drive deployment of solutions and services based on this platform.

In this role, you will:

• Designing and implementing end to end, scalable, fault tolerant, cloud native solutions on Object and Functional Programming paradigms (Java / Scala, Python).
• You are an excellent communicator, and are comfortable communicating directly with the Sales/Trading Desk and internal Technology teams and are able to range up and down the detail depending on your audience.
• You will handle all phases of development (requirements gathering/analysis through to implementation), establishing solid relationships and trust built on proven delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Must have strong core Java, Object and Functional Programming skills incl DevOps tooling (Cloud, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.)
• Streaming and Messaging technologies such as Solace, Kafka, Apache Flink / Spark a micro-services architecture.
• Ability to drive Architecture Solutions through design thinking and critical problem-solving skills

Good to have skills-

• Low latency systems.
• Problem solving skills with an ability to come up with feasible alternatives and optimal design solutions
