You will join our Energy department

As our new Senior HVAC Engineer you will be part of HVAC team of Energy Department in Chennai working on Oil & Gas Projects.



Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Handle one or more Projects independently as Senior Engineer
• Handle Draughtsman/Designers.
• Preparation of Deliverable list & Schedule, Man-hour estimate, Resource requirement and Progress report.
• Responsible for quality, schedule and budget of his project.
• Participating in meetings with client.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
• Preparation of Design Basis Report & Technical Specifications.
• Knowledge of codes and standards like ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO 6944, NFPA, AMCA etc.
• Review of Tender documents to understand the scope of work, client' specifications etc. and prepare technical offer technical clarifications and list of deviations when required.
• Preparation of concept designs & design basis report with recommendation of suitable HVAC system and getting the approval from Client.
• Preparation of Detail Engineering, Design drawings, related specifications, equipment selection criteria and calculations as per the approved Base design.
• Site Survey, Heating, Ventilation & Cooling Load Calculations and sizing & capacity finalization of HVAC Units Sizing & Selection of Chillers, AHU's, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Exhaust Fans, FCU's, Pressurization Units, Grills, Diffusers, Pressure relief dampers, Sand trap Louvers, Exhaust Air Louvers, Penthouse Louvers, Flexible ducts etc.
• Ventilation calculations for various industrial applications.
• Air pressurization calculations.
• Duct sizing, External Static Pressure calculations for Air Handling Units, Package Air Conditioning Units and Ventilation Fans.
• Water /Refrigerant Pipes Designing and Installations.
• Shall be able to guide junior engineers in the team and guide draftsman for the preparation of HVAC Schematic (DIDs) drawings and shop drawings.
• Review comments on submittals and on engineering deliverables.
• Shall be able to prepare SOW for HVAC contractor and coordinate with HVAC vendors.
• Writing Technical procedures/guide/work instructions.
• Supporting/guiding/training department engineers.
• Responsible for bid/proposal input.
• Clean room experience and Dust collection system experience will be an added advantage.

• Coordinate within team and other departments and projects to minimize quality errors claims.
• Continuously improve methods and lessons learnt to optimize client value.
• Ability to quickly assess and make recommendations (rapid problem solving) regarding HVAC issues.
• Efficient utilization of resources.

Qualifications

Your starting point for constant growth

• Bachelor of Engineering, with Minimum 12 years' experience in off shore, refinery or petrochemical or oil & gas industry is required.
• Knowledge of software like CARRIER E20, ELITE, TRACE, McQuay etc.
• Proven experience in Revit MEP preferred.
• Ability to quickly assess and make recommendations (rapid problem solving) regarding HVAC issues.
• Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines.
• Have very good knowledge or written and spoken English with ability to produce procedures and technical reports.
