Job Summary

As part of the Data Operations team the Hadoop Admin is responsible for maintaining all Hadoop infrastructure. This includes how to configure and manage Hadoop infrastructure on the Azure cloud, including auto-scaling, security, deployment, and cost management. This position will be working out of the World Trade Center in Pune.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Help develop a plan to deploy new Hadoop infrastructure including HDFS, HBASE, Spark
• Help define and establish processes and tools for managing Hadoop infrastructure to ensure careful control of security and costs
• Debug and troubleshoot performance of Hadoop/Spark clusters
• Review and optimize Map Reduce jobs
• Manage HA/DR for the Hadoop ecosystem
• This position reports to the Manger of Data Operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of progressive experience building enterprise software applications
• In-depth knowledge of HDFS, YARN, Spark, Kafka, HDASE
• Experience with Hive, Impata, Sqoop, Flume and Solr is desirable.
• Must understand debugging and troubleshooting performance of Hadoop, Spark clusters.
• Should have experience optimizing YARN/Map Reduce jobs
• Ability to setup and manage Distributed Parallel Processing systems
• Ability to enhance Scalability, Reliability, Security and Performance of Hadoop Systems
• Knowledgeable in HA and DR options of setting of Hadoop ecosystem in Cloud
• Knowledgeable in Linux, Network and Storage infrastructure
• Experience in either of Python/Java Programming
• Experience scaling technologies used in SaaS
• Knowledge of Azure cloud is highly beneficial
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is helpful
