We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer who specializes in creating engaging and educational book designs for schoolchildren. The ideal candidate will have experience in educational publishing and a strong understanding of visual learning strategies and child-friendly design principles. The role involves developing compelling layouts, illustrations and covers for various educational materials, ranging from textbooks to supplementary worksheets.Responsibilities

• Design visually appealing, age-appropriate, and educationally sound layouts for school books and related materials.

• Collaborate with editorial teams to understand content requirements and translate these into graphical formats that enhance learning and retention.

• Create engaging graphics, charts, diagrams, and illustrations that help explain complex concepts in a straightforward way.

• Ensure consistency in style and quality across all educational materials for a cohesive look and feel.

• Prepare artwork for print and digital publication, understanding the technical nuances of each format.

• Manage multiple projects from concept through completion under tight deadlines.

• Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers and freelance graphic artists.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of graphic design software and educational trends to keep designs fresh and effective.

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

• 10+ years of graphic design experience, focusing on educational materials or children\xe2\x80\x99s publishing.

• Strong portfolio showcasing book designs, especially educational or children\xe2\x80\x99s books.

• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and CorelDraw.

• Excellent understanding of colour theory, typography, and print layout design.

• Experience with digital publishing and formats is a plus.

• Strong organisational and project management skills.

• Proficiency in Hindi and English typing.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with educators and content creators.

• Creative thinker with the ability to translate educational concepts into visual stories.

• Attention to detail, especially in typography, layout, and illustrative accuracy.

• Ability to handle feedback and make necessary changes in a timely manner.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
