Summary: Geotechnical Engineer with Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering preferably a Master\'s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from a reputed institute. Minimum 10 + years of experience of working on design and engineering of national/international Infrastructure/ Industrial Projects. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and practices. Proficiency in use of software such as LPILE, SHAFT, WALLUP, DYNAPILE, GRLWEAP, SLOPE, PLAXIS etc. is desirable. Experience in interpretation and analysis of geotechnical data & reports and coordination with Highway, Civil and Structural Engineers with Geotech recommendation is essential. Essential Job Duties: 1. Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals and develops site investigation programs, specifications, budget and schedules for projects of varying complexity 2. Interprets ground investigation data and prepare geotechnical interpretative report. 3. Selects foundation systems for infrastructure, Industrial and Highway structures and evaluates foundation bearing capacity and settlements for shallow/deep foundations 4. Prepares/checks calculations to evaluate the major types of deep foundations, including driven piles, cast in-situ piles and drilled piers 5. Evaluates lateral earth pressures, Embankment and slope stability analysis, retaining wall stability 6. Perform analysis and design of temporary support for deep excavations 7. Perform impact analysis on nearby structure due to deep excavation 8. Assesses Ground improvement requirement and recommends mitigation measure for poor soil 9. Interprets Site response studies, Soil-structure-interaction analysis and liquefaction evaluations 10. Provides input to drawings for earthwork and foundation and has capability to write Geo-technical design reports independently 11. Performs the duties of a resident geotechnical engineer on a project site and provides technical assistance. 12. Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders. 13. Reviews technical bids and makes recommendation. 14. Reviews and checks work of junior team members. Provides input for their performance evaluation. 15. Good written and verbal communication skills in English language 2. Experience in leading a team of engineers and CAD technicians. 3. Possess a broad understanding of the major design engineering deliverables 4. Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards, design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline, construction practices 5. Broad knowledge of the application of geotechnical engineering to highway engineering. Understanding of Standard proctor test, modified proctor test or modified AASHTO test and interpretation of CBR test data. 6. Understanding of different field compaction and field density measurement test 7. Ability to support and understand the requirements of other disciplines like structures, civil works, hydrology and bridge designs, construction and the economics involved 8. Understanding of engineering planning and control methods including computerized methods 9. Ability to work independently on large scale projects. 10. Experience of coordination and high-quality presentations to clients, multimodal transport agencies, environmental agencies, land acquisition authorities. 11. Knowledge of BIM packages such as Projectwise, Navisworks. Qualification: 1. Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university. 2. Master\'s degree in Geotechnical Engineering. 3. Minimum 10 years of experience in geotechnical design and overall, 12 years of experience. Experience: Grade 25: 12+ years of relevant work experience Grade 26: 16+ years of experience
