Position Overview

Senior Firmware/Software Engineer in the Electronics Department at Diebold Nixdorf Hyderabad location. Responsible for development and maintenance of firmware, utilities and test software for POS peripherals. Responsible for development and maintenance of firmware, utilities and test software for POS peripherals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain firmware for Point-Of-Sales peripherals such as Magnetic Swipe Card reader, Waiter Lock, Line Display and NFC card reader.
Define test cases and carry out the tests to ensure reliability and robustness of the firmware.
Maintain and enhance the firmware upgrade tool and other device-specific software utilities to ensure reliability and that give the best user experience.
Develop engineering test tools for internal use for product testing propose and tools for mass production testing.
Require participating in a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to the definition of new product, and to execute, test and bring the final product to mass production.

Required Qualifications

Completed Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics or comparable studies.
Experience in ARM microntroller-based development.
Able to read circuit diagrams.
Skillful in programming in C/C++ language and in ARM assembly language.
Experience in developing firmware for real-time multi-tasking embedded device/system.
Experience in developing Windows and Linux applications.
Practise good coding standards.
Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Teamwork, creativity and innovativeness.
