Role & ResponsibilitiesLead and manage mechanical design and development projects from concept to production.
Conduct design validation during prototype, pre-series, and pilot phases in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Perform design verification using tools such as FEA, DFMEA, and participate in PDR/CDR reviews.
Prepare design calculations, technical documentation, and qualification reports.
Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, applicable codes, and best practices.
Collaborate with global teams and participate in cluster meetings to provide project updates.
Visit suppliers for product development and qualification activities.
Conduct site visits to elevator installations for testing and field support.
Oversee testing and validation of mechanical components and systems.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design and development processes.
Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and performance.
Who we are looking for

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal/structural analysis.
Expertise in GD&T, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with design quality tools such as DFMEA, 8D, and 5W1H.
Familiarity with Windchill PLM and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Knowledge of design automation and error-proofing techniques.
Strong understanding of materials used in sheet metal and structural design.
Excellent project management skills including timeline, budget, and resource planning.
