Job Description


Job Summary Key Job role is to lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) task for assigned projects. Responsible to coordinate APQP implementation process with Supplier,SDE, SQE, Buyer, Commodity Manager, Plant Quality & Other Stakeholders.
Identify the gaps in Supplier Quality system & Delivery and ensure operational alignment with Eaton manufacturing sites, communicate back to supplier & take follow up for improvement action implementations.
Ensure supplier training and actions implemented in respective process for defect free product supply with aiming overall supplier performance improvement. Job Responsibilities 1. Develops and implements the Quality led APQP activities specified within VG Global process to assure quality from concept to production.
2. Contribute to new Business initiatives and Projects. Review and timely communicate the impact on Quality & Delivery activities
3. Ensures compliance with the customer requirements, Quality policy, Company standards, Regulatory and external standards
4. Effectively interacts with Supplier,SCM (Buyer/CM) ,SQE, SDE ,Production and Engineering teams to maintain product supply and timely introduction of new products
5. Evaluate and timely closure of 8D,SCR (Supplier Change Request ) and PPAP on the defect from suppliers
6. Identify, investigate, and Resolve Supplier Technical and/or System issues related to product or process realization to have effective closures.
7. Analyzes Supplier Issues, use of statistical and analytical tools,Lean Six Sigma, DoE,A3 for Supplier performance Improvement.
8. Implement measures to improve CAR/CAPA, Process efficiency and engage Team to achieve Goals for on time closures
9. Trouble shoot flawless closures in coordination with global stake holders.
10. Assist in data analysis and business growth for various supplier Quality process
11. Anticipate and understand cusotmer requirements and provide customer centric solutions
12. Monitor and communicate process and supplier performance
13.Implements measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality, efficiency and morale.
14. Support and lead process transitions through on time and accurate documentation,
15. Lead projects in team and act as SPOC for multiple sites and customers.
16. Identify, investigate, and Resolve Supplier Technical and/or System issues related to product or process realization to have effective closures - Change managements and corelation issues
17. Work as a co- coordinator between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve definition of requirements.
18. Directs and coordinates the activities of team engaged in Project – including inspection, analysis and supplier training.
19.Drive and promote Continuous Improvement culture within team & at supplier end

Qualifications

Qualifications Education level required -BE in (Mechanical/Production/Aeronautical/Electrical/Electronics/ Industrial Engineering) Years and area of experience required - 1.Minimum 10~14 years of experience in, Manufacturing / or Process Engineering and ,APQP ,program management, Supplier Development and Quality
2. Minimum 6 years of Experience in APQP,Supplier Quality Program management
3. Experience in working with global customers & suppliers.
4. PMP certification will be preferred Technical knowledge Knowledge of problem solving tools,APQP, PPAP, Core Tools ,GD&T, AIAG and Project management
Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis, Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Machining/Casting /Forging /Molding/Electrical/Electronics is preferred as per sequence.
Should be certified Internal Auditor ISO/IATF Soft skills Effective Communication ,Influencing skills- Customers and Suppliers.Interpersonal skills,

Imporve Supplier DPPM,Reduction in OTD misses
First time right – Supplier improvement actions closure
Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management report.
Maintain flawless pace with the process.
On-Time and effective closure of issues
Improve productivity, process automation and Digitalization
Monitoring of Process KPI’s and action planning in case of not meeting the defined target/Customer expectations through continuous improvement
