Job Description

The Senior Engineer - Meteorology will lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of meteorological systems and sensors. This includes supporting weather monitoring solutions for applications such as solar and wind energy, hydrology, agriculture, and environmental studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, control systems, and industrial communication protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

Design & Configuration

- Lead the design of meteorological stations (AWS, WMS), select suitable sensors (temperature, humidity, wind, radiation, rain) and data loggers, and ensure compliance with WMO/IEC/ISO standards.

Integration & SCADA Support

- Develop solutions to integrate sensors with telemetry (GPRS, RF, Satellite) and SCADA systems; support and troubleshoot existing SCADA infrastructure.

Field Execution

- Supervise installation, commissioning, calibration, and alignment of meteorological equipment; validate system performance and ensure data accuracy.

Data & Reporting

- Analyze meteorological data for energy yield estimation, forecasting, and reporting; collaborate with software/firmware teams to enhance data acquisition systems and cloud-based dashboards.

Technical Documentation & Mentorship

- Prepare AutoCAD drawings, schematics, manuals, and installation guides; mentor junior engineers and provide technical/customer support.

Collaboration & Project Delivery

- Work with sales, procurement, and QC teams to meet project timelines; independently manage assigned projects while developing expertise in substation control and protection technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, or related field. Experience with data visualization and remote monitoring platforms. Drawing Preparation using AutoCAD. Strong understanding of Communication Protocols and Field Installations.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
