Role purpose and key accountabilities

This position is part of India team responsible for the support of a SCCM infrastructure, Packaging the application, Manage and setup group policies, Intune, Autopilot and Modern Device management. This role will provide hands-on 3rd level operational support for internal customers. The role requires flexibility to work on callout or weekend and occasional out of hours work. Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technology.

  • SCCM CB (Primary) : Experience in Administration, Support and engineer the Microsoft System Center Configuration manager services globally.
  • SCCM Infra (Primary) : Experience in Managing SCCM Infrastructure, Server upgrades, setting up remote SCCM Distribution points.
  • SCCM OSD/MDT (Primary) : Develop & Implement Deployment for Windows 10 Operating System and Updates.
  • Intune (Primary) : Experience in Administration, Support and engineer the Intune, Autopilot and Modern Device management globally.
  • Office 365 (Primary)- Experience on Office 365 package creation and Upgrade process and troubleshooting.
  • Application troubleshooting (Primary) : Understanding for application troubleshooting for Enterprise environment.
  • Operating System(Primary)- Understanding of Windows 10 & 11 for Enterprise environment.
  • MBAM Security Bitlocker (Primary)- Experience in implement and manage Bitlocker and general troubleshooting to maintain healthy compliance state.
  • Application Packaging (Secondary)- Knowledge to package application for enterprise environment on Windows 10 & 11 Platform.
  • Active Directory & Group Policy (Secondary)- Experience on AD and End-point security tools and Group Policy with GPO related issues.
  • Automating SCCM tasks and troubleshooting using scripts and other options.
  • To create and update in-house documentation for the IT service desk and Infrastructure team.
  • Manage user experience support across mobile devices, desktops and laptops.
  • Technical expertise for all/assigned SCCM Packaging/group policy/Mac build related projects.
  • Full ownership of problem and incident management, various audit compliance of the SCCM/Windows environment.
  • Ownership for all SCCM and Windows Operations Support of Colt Internal customers in India & Europe using SNOW or equivalent tools.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and working practices for the efficient and effective running of all tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and software.
  • Ensures that appropriate software or specialist monitoring tools are used to maintain awareness and control of the hardware and software.
  • Conduct investigations on system performance, make proposals for improvements and implement them when appropriate.
  • Schedule and supervise all maintenance and installation work, including major configuration changes and upgrades.
  • Influences design and development of new and changed systems and services to optimise operational efficiency and contributes to definition of associated standards and techniques
  • Liaison with all Colt vendors like HP, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, etc., for management and support of Hardware, OS, Antivirus, other software & application/s.
  • Work closely with own & other infrastructure team members across EU & India
Flexible to perform On-Call, Out of office hours activities, travel abroad for short/medium term basis depending upon Business requirements.

Essential requirements [skills, experience, qualifications]
  • Technical knowledge of SCCM Infrastructure/Operations, Intune Cloud.
  • Understanding and Technical knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP.
  • Knowledge of SQL, and SQL queries with the ability to build custom tables and reports.
  • Understanding of Content Distribution and Management, Maintenance Windows, Queries, Application/Package Deployment, Operating Systems Deployment, LTI and ZTI Operating System Deployment, Microsoft Software Updates, and 3rd-Party Integrations.
  • Hands on knowledge of supporting remote operational activities on Windows and good understanding & troubleshooting skills of end devices.
  • Hands on knowledge of patching process using WSUS.
  • Good understanding & working knowledge on Microsoft Tools and Technologies.
  • Good understanding & working knowledge on Antivirus solutions.
  • Proficient in at least one of the following scripting along with VB, PowerShell, WMI.
  • Knowledge in using VMware / Hyper-V or any other Virtualization technology.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Graduate or above in Engineering/Computer Sciences
