About this team

The opportunity is in the Digital Transactions team. Our team is responsible for creating seamless guest experiences focused on ecommerce Order Management, Enterprise transactions Hub, and Post Purchase guest experiences. This team is also in the process of transforming a traditional monolith architecture to a cloud-based service architecture.

Roles & responsibilities:

The ideal candidate performs the development of high-performing, well-tested, and thoughtfully architected software applications that satisfy our internal business needs and power guest experiences. Has proven experience in effectively applying mathematical, and social principles to design, build, & maintain technology products, and solutions that provide fantastic customer experiences.

• Play an active technical expert role in end-to-end product development from design to deployment. working on moderately complex to highly complex work tasks or project assignments.
• Gathers, analyzes, and translates business and non-functional requirements into a solution design.
• May lead meetings to define business requirements, technical solutions, and estimates.
• Designs, develops to specifications, maintains application code and technical documentations.
• Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, documents, and maintains applications systems, working on moderately complex to highly complex work tasks or project assignments.
• Consults with Quality Assurance and Business Analysts in the development and execution of test plans.
• Provides technical assistance and problem resolution for assigned systems.
• Ensures that applications changes follow change management policies and procedures.
• Provides technical guidance to ensure that installed systems are working effectively and that proposed systems will meet organization\'s future needs.
• Uses algorithms, data structures, programming languages, programming paradigms to create, test and operate sustainable software applications and services.
• Ensures smooth implementation of new technologies and vendor integrations by using their expertise on their assigned domains and interfaces.
• May act as a source for direction, training, and guidance for less experienced departmental staff.
• Deep understanding of development and deployment of Cloud based solutions.

• Bachelors degree in computer science/Information Technology, or in a related technical field or equivalent technology experience.
• 10+ years in in developing / implementing / customizing IBM Sterling Commerce Distributed Order Management and Inventory Visibility
• Strong knowledge & hands-on experience on Sterling Web store customizations
• Experience designing design scalable, secure modern micro-services using Spring Boot, test driven development, and cloud native design patterns.
• Strong software development fundamentals, including automated testing, source control, continuous integration in addition to continuous delivery and/or deployment.
• Experience in design and development of RESTful APIs using JAX-RS and JSON
• Experience in migrating On-Prem systems to Cloud is considered valuable.
• Solid working experience with AWS
• Strong software development fundamentals, including automated testing, source control, continuous integration in addition to continuous delivery and/or deployment.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting for microservices.
• Hands-on experience to support development, infrastructure, and operations.
• Experience working with security log analysis, application logs, and general log management practices.
• Experience working with Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform
• Commerce domain knowledge a strong plus
