An Ideal Candidate:
An Ideal candidate should have 6-9 years of experience in automation and controls, Proven expertise in implementing automation in FMCG/automotive or high-speed and multiple SKUs manufacturing setups.
Key Competencies:
Automation Equipment Installation & Support * Support the design, selection, installation, and commissioning of mechanical automation systems such as robotic arms, conveyors, feeders, and pick & place systems etc.

• Modify or retrofit existing mechanical systems to improve automation levels and equipment uptime.

Mechanical Design and Optimization * Develop or modify mechanical designs for automation solutions using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD Mechanical).

• Optimize equipment layout and material flow to enhance productivity and ergonomics.
• Conduct motion studies and implement mechanisms for improved precision and performance.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance * Analyse root causes of mechanical failures in automated systems and lead resolution efforts.

• Assist the maintenance team in setting up PM plans for automated mechanical systems.
• Ensure quick and effective support during unplanned breakdowns involving mechanical automation components.

Safety & Compliance * Ensure that all mechanical automation systems comply with applicable safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).

• Validate mechanical safety systems such as guards, sensors, and interlocks.
• Participate in risk assessments, PFMEA and support machine safety audits.

Vendor and Project Management * Liaise with machine OEMs, automation solution providers, and mechanical fabricators during project execution.

• Support procurement with the technical evaluation.

Cross-functional Collaboration * Coordinate closely with the electrical automation, production, quality, and process engineering teams to ensure holistic automation performance along with necessary training and documentations.
