Responsibilities Design, develop, test, maintain, document, release software solutions according to new Epic/Capability Discuss with System Leaders/Function Owners to receive the requirement specification to be analyzed and implemented Responsible for developing the low-level SW design and provide technical guidance to the team to define the feature/solution Breakdown new Capabilities into Features to support Story creation Provide hour estimates for work packages and internal development activities Responsible for a a number of software components and competence areas Develop embedded code in C/C++ coding language from software requirement specifications Perform Root Cause Analysis in Application layer SW Develop unit tests and test software to verify functionality using various testing tools Document software code in order to release software for use in ECU Follow the pre-determined work processes in order to comply with release standards/quality Collaborate cross-functionally in a team to specify the behavior and develop applications that help to optimize electrical consumption, increase battery life and save fuel at the vehicle Build use case scenarios, develop the application with System thinking & risk management capability Involved in the function roadmap reviews. Be at the truck, troubleshooting and experiencing the features Front-load work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late-stage releases Ensure new designs fulfill business targets, requirements, and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets Have a holistic view of deliverables from other interfaces to secure quality & readiness before release Manage area of responsibility by learning and applying applicable tools Manage networking across the organization, as well as influencing the work in other sites Develop and share acquired competence (e.g. training) and provide technical advice Manage, mentor, and guide the team deliveries as a part of engineering leadership. Contributes to innovations or technologies that are regarded as important advances in the field Set examples of Product Ownership engineering leadership & encourage engineers for the same Taking Initiatives at Commodity/Dept./Site level for Continuous Improvements Look for More Efficient Ways of workings on regular basis with emphasis on Business Value Delegation in the team incl. Resp. & empowering the team Assist Group Manager Resource & workload planning, recruitment, and budget securement Qualifications Bachelor\'s / Master\'s degree in electronics, software, computer engineering (or similar) with 6+ years of experience in Embedded SW Application Development Good analytical and problem-solving skills Experience from working in distributed automotive electrical and electronic systems Knowledge in System and software engineering, including robust and reliable system/software design principles Experienced in C, C++, Python Experienced in working with continuous integration environment using Jenkins, Bitbucket, GIT, Artifactory Knowledge in ECU diagnostics using ISO14229 - UDS on CAN protocol Knowledge of AUTOSAR classic/adaptive Knowledge of CANOe, CANalyzer, Davinci Dev/Conf Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink Knowledge of the EE system of a vehicle Knowledge of Automotive communication protocols and communication technologies, such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet Comprehensive knowledge of product development cycles Comprehensive knowledge of SAFe Agile Way of Working and mindset is a plus Are we perfect match \'The Volvo Group culture is defined by a set of five carefully chosen values- Customer success, Trust, Passion, Change, and Performance.
