We are looking for Cyient\'s next Director - Compliance, who will oversee the Compliance function for the EMEA and APAC regions. The position will be located in our Madhapur office at Hyderabad and will report to the Global Head of Legal & Compliance. We are a dynamic, friendly, and down to earth bunch of lawyers who love what we do - so we are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who can work as a team player and communicate exceptionally well. You will be pragmatic, commercially minded and comfortable in a fast-paced business environment. Ideally you will have 10+ years post qualification experience that will include without limitation managing a compliance team in enforcement of processes and management of compliances (statutory and regulatory) in the territory, managing external counsel engagements, compliance integration activities arising out of M&As. Most definitely you will have the ability to work with little supervision, manage a team, the desire to learn and work within a truly global organization and a keen interest in cutting edge technology, outsourced engineering services, export regulations and data privacy. As Cyient operates around the world you\'ll liaise with stakeholders across jurisdictions on a regular basis and will have a global outlook. In house experience is preferred but not mandatory. A competitive package based on experience is on offer. Key Responsibilities: . Managing the in-house compliance programs for the territories along with the territory counsels. . Managing the Cyient Compliance Tool - implementation and regularization of reported non-compliances . Drafting policies and procedures to address the compliance requirements (eg FCPA, AML, etc). . Considering new business models and working through associated legal issues and risks. . Analyzing legal issues and commercial risks, presenting clear recommendations to assure legal compliance. . Collaborating with support functions across the business including Operations, HR, Finance, Risk and IT Security. Basic Skills: . Diligent at identifying problems along with an ability to present solutions that are creative and pragmatic. . Experience of managing work and teams in highly-matrixed organizations through direct and indirect influence . Mentoring, managing and developing talent. . Commitment to expanding business, legal and technical skills. . Proficiency to deal with computer systems that will be supplemented with contracts management software . Develop policies, procedures and guidelines to further the requirements of the compliance arm under Legal. . Perform legal research to assist in preparation of accurate and timely reports, legal advice, case files, and other legal documents. . Oversee organization of legal files and materials so that they are easily accessed and retrieved without compromising the confidentiality or privacy of the information they contain.
