As the Senior Director Engineering & Product Services - Site leader and a leader in GSK, your role will directly impact the achievement of Commercial Pharma and Pharma Tech objectives. We expect this individual to carry the people leadership, be in the forefront of technology and help the Commercial Digital and Tech and Digital Fuel organizations to embrace and adopt modern ways of data management, ingestion and serving out analytics in support Data Reporting, Analytics and Science. The Successful candidate with support the management of a diverse team of 40+ Product Managers, Data Engineers and Data Analysts within the GCC. Key Responsibilities Work in partnership with direct line management to support the development of staff and product demand for a team of 40+ employees and 100+ vendor resources Support team in the development of SMART team objectives and performance to drive the GCC team as an innovation centre Partner with regional VPs/Directors and market leads to understand and develop enterprise wide GCC solutions and team way of working that address needs. Define training and growth strategy for team Act in full partnership with Product owners to build robust self- sustaining product delivery and support teams Act in full partnership with Data science, Data Engineering and ML/Ops teams to support POCs and operationalize of successful pilots Work with our Core Technology to develop training and education programs that embeds well-architected API, Container, Streaming Data, Data & Analytics, Cloud and Continuous Delivery platform and services in our Enterprise Cloud platform Streamline the release process and drive continuous integration and delivery practices leveraging pipelines and automation Act in full partnership with Regional and Local Tech to gather voice of the process that drive continuous delivery and cloud optimization, adoption, efficiency, and high performance across the enterprise Work in partnership with Digital Fuel, C-PAT and Medical Tech to embed DevOps and Cloud Engineering Enablement with the overall goal of dramatically improving development productivity, quality and time to market - as well as client experience metrics for availability, usability and responsiveness Work in partnership with Digital Fuel, C-PAT and Medical Tech to establish of a model ops service to operationalize data science models into production and support the repeatable tuning of models through their lifecycle Drive self-service, \'X-as-a-service\' app developer platform services for cloud applications Partner & work with the other BU Dev/ops leaders for knowledge share and best practices learning Assist with the tracking, monitoring and analysis of Cloud performance metrics and the work with Core Tech team to embed them into performance objectives Partner with Product Management, Product Engineering and Architecture teams to modernize our existing tech stacks and data platforms Strong knowledge of microservices architecture implemented in the cloud Strong knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) pipelines Develop GCC resourcing management governance model that enables effective management of staff capacity and availability according to priorities and workload Implement and embed consistent Product, Agile, DevOps and CI/CD processes and methodology across GCC product teams. Support performance and talent management, recruiting and compensation in partnership with Line Management. Be a change agent and shape culture of the team Support the working practices, technology, and talent to deliver a successful enterprise data lake operating model to support analytics, reporting and data science Support the staff in defining and managing a global data framework to support business needs Support the product team in defining and managing Data processes including Ingestion, curation, data governance, Data Quality, data cataloging and CI/CD Support the product team in defining and delivering the Global Pharma data strategy to support the growing Pharma needs and enhanced analytics and data science Embed ITIL service management principles and methodologies into the operating model to embed SLAs including system up-time, time to respond, time to resolve and closure rates.
