About the Unit

Digital Data & IT GBS (Global Business Service) was established in February 2010 as an integral part of Digital Data & IT in HQ (Head Quarter). From the beginning in 2010, the unit has grown to 800+ employees till date. The main role of Global IT GBS (Global Business Service) is to \'manage\' IT, which includes System Management, Project Management, Infrastructure Management, Compliance Management, Security Management, Process Management and Vendor Management. You will be a part of DD & IT, PS (product supply) team.

The Position

As a Sr. Director of DD & IT (Digital Data IT), PS (Product Supply), you overall be responsible for all deliveries of the department. You will report to the leader of DD & IT Product Supply in Denmark and be part of the management team. Functionally, you will report to head of the local DD & IT in GBS (Global Business Services). To succeed in the role, you must therefore have strong leadership competencies and an international mindset as you will be working across geographies and cultures. Your primary responsibility be:

  • IT Systems Management: You will be accountable for delivering services to a portfolio of IT systems comprising GxP, Finance and Business critical IT systems. You shall ensure delivery of system services such as releases, upgrades, performance, and availability as per the agreed service levels with PS (Product Supply) system owners. You will also be accountable for ensuring compliance to IT Quality requirements, IT security requirements including periodic assessment of IT risks, threats, and vulnerabilities as per ITQ (IT Quality) policies.
  • System Budget: Overall responsibility for department budget and all IT budget in scope. You will decide and implement system budget with PS (Product Supply) areas collaborating closely with designated system owners i.e., CVPs (Corporate Vice President) and VPs (Vice Presidents) typically.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will communicate with senior management from PS (product Supply) areas globally involving head of IT units at the site level and Directors, VPs, CVPs in the headquarter.
  • People Management - Provides leadership while managing people and developing talent involving niche and critical areas such as SAP specialists and IT specialists in laboratory area. Set directions and define future development needs in the organisation based on the Global IT and LoB (Line of Business) strategies.
Furthermore, your primary leadership responsibility as head of DD & IT (Digital Data IT) will be:
  • To drive and initiates dialog with key stakeholders, plans new services and solutions, structures delivery of the services in alignment with the requirements of LoB (Line of Business). You will involve in regular performance monitoring of vendor performance throughout the life term of contracts leading to renewal, termination processes.
  • Ensure overall alignment between different functions within Global IT, Global IT GBS, LoB and third-party vendors which might be necessary in different situations.
  • To motivate, inspire the employees and drive performance and efficiency.
  • Leads by example, turns strategies into action, recognises efforts and achievements and brings out the best in others.
Qualifications
  • M.Sc. or Masters in a relevant field e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Business Administration.
  • +15 years of relevant domain knowledge within e.g., IT technology, project management, IT system management, IT operations, IT infrastructure, IT Security, or IT quality.
  • +7 years of people management and leadership experience. Pharmaceutical or relevant industry experience preferred. Experience in a Manufacturing and Supply Chain IT organisations is preferred.
  • Proven success as a leader in an area of highly experienced, ideally in a regulated industry and experienced in leading the team of managers & specialist within a large matrix organisation.
  • Must have handled, worked, and collaborated for driving organizational strategies, and delivery excellence.
  • Assertiveness and the ability to collaborate and make progress in a demanding stakeholder environment.
  • Strong experience in working with teams and management present at different Global Locations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translating them into actionable outcomes.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, communication, and consensus building skills. You must have high cultural sensitivity and ability to work across cultures. Above all you have passion for excellence with a concise, precise, and effective approach to problem solving and decision making.
