Senior Data Solutions Architect

This role is part of HP Enterprise's Global IT across Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and aligns with the Data and Analytics group, is a rapidly growing team and works in a fast-paced environment. Analytical solutions include multi PB data lake, batch and real-time data ingestion, data science, and visualization using open source software, custom home-grown systems, and 3rd party software. The solutions architect brings hands-on experience to design and implement data and analytics capabilities across internal business units and external customers.

A professional at this position, works with the business users and technologists, analyses systems, and gathers how data is used in them. Designs information flows from source systems to the data lake, implements data governance and catalog, uses data to develop new algorithms and models to provide insight to internal business groups and develops for external customer as well. Researches, designs, develops, configures, integrates, tests, and maintains existing and new data models, data and analytical solutions including Machine Learning algorithms and visualizations through integration of technical and business requirements. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies. Typical customers are HP Enterprise's end users and various functional areas such as Supply Chain, Research and Development, Marketing, Finance, a business, or the company.

In a typical day as a Senior Data Solutions Architect, you would

• Participate as a senior member of solution architecture; and may lead project/ program development team; Performs analysis of functional and business requirements, develops user stories, and designs solutions
• Analyse and document business workflows required to source the data and generate, and implement analytics
• Perform hands-on development of minimum viable products using open source technologies, and commercial big data products
• Perform data cleaning, and feature engineering
• Coordinate work with data stewards, and participates in the build of data catalog
• Work with business and system teams to design, prepare and automate test cases.

If you are...

• Holding a first level university degree.
• Holding a master's degree in IT, computer science or related area of study preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10+ years in like roles/businesses.
• Experience with being solution leader for data lake and data warehouse
• Hands-on development including Hadoop, Spark, Python or Scala, and SQL
• Expertise in combining data and science to bring business outcomes
• Fullstack Hadoop (Oozie, Yarn, Hive, HBase)
• Knowledge of container, orchestration, and CI / CD based development
• Understanding of Software Test methodologies, and testing tools
