Responsible for driving the design, build and operations of a function that will have end-to-end accountability for embedding effective Data Governance. Senior Data Governance Engineer will work with the Data Management team and drive implementation of the strategy, processes, technology and teams. Collaborate with the stakeholders from the wider organization to ensure compliance with both newly created and established policies and procedures. Focus on enabling safe and effective use of data, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement of capabilities and efficiencies within the organization Handle cross-functional interaction with leaders and teams Partnering with a wide array of stakeholders to deliver Data Governance initiatives Play an active role in delivering an important and strategic function. Play an active role in refining and delivering the Data Governance framework including participating in relevant forums to escalate and resolve data issues, Share knowledge and best practices amongst the Data engineering and Data management space. Establish, maintain, and periodically review and recommend changes to Data Governance artifacts. Monitor policies, standards, procedures etc. periodically with appropriate stakeholders. Responsible for developing, maintaining, communicating, and enforcing data processes, policies & Scope of Policies (GDPR, PII, CCPA etc.,), and standards. Work closely with Data Owners and Data Stewards to identify and implement key processes e.g. Data Maintenance, Data Quality rule implementation etc. Define and monitor Data Governance KPIs and leverage insight to drive performance improvement opportunities. Create, review, approve data definitions and assist in defining data quality metrics for periodic release. Client-facing skills and end to end implementation of the Data Governance program, metadata management. Knowledge in Data catalog implementation Architecture Data Governance proposals Knowledge & Compliance & regulatory requirements and emerging trends Hands on experience in Regulatory & General Data Compliance program- Preferably GDPR, CCPA and PII.
