Position:

Senior Cyber Security Analyst

Position Summary:

LanzaTech has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst within its Information Security group. The Information Security team is charged with upholding the confidentiality and integrity of data, systems, and facilities in compliance with organizational policies and standards. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the ongoing development and advancement of the company\xe2\x80\x99s cybersecurity program. You will be primarily responsible for identifying, detecting, protecting, responding, and recovering from cyber security incidents and risks.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop, implement, and support cybersecurity infrastructure and solutions.
  • Monitor, investigate and respond to security alerts and incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Analyze security logs and generate reports to identify trends and potential threats.
  • Automate intelligent anomaly detection and alerting.
  • Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc security reports for management.
  • Conduct regular internal and external vulnerability scanning to proactively identify and correct any security issues.
  • Manage and maintain security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS and EDR solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies.
  • Perform security audits and assessments to identify weaknesses and compliance gaps.
  • Assist in preparing for and responding to regulatory audits.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity awareness program.
  • Assist with annual penetration tests and social engineering exercises.
  • Assist with business continuity, change management and disaster recovery programs.
  • Maintain and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are implemented.
  • Develop and maintain thorough, up- to-date knowledge of Cybersecurity threats and incident response best practices.
Qualification and Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Industry certification related to AWS and Azure security will be advantageous.
  • 5 plus years of professional experience in cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with NIST Cyber Security Framework.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networks, and cloud environments.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and security logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to quickly assess and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience analyzing attacker techniques at all stages of a breach.
  • Experience with common security controls such as data loss prevention (DLP), multi-factor authentication (MFA), SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS and encryption
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated team player, self-starter, and independent thinker.
