Senior Customer Solutions Engineer

As part of the customer solutions team, the customer solution engineer will work as a product specialist and will collaborate with customers, supporting the sales team to win deals/POCs and share the insights from the field back into product and engineering teams. In this position you will work in a hybrid role spanning across sales, presales, product management, engineering and customer success teams.

In this role you will:

• Assist in key customer opportunities. Provide expert sales & technical assistance by clearly articulating Rubrik technology and business value to both technical and non technical users
• The engineer should be an evangelist for Rubrik offerings and be able to communicate Rubrik's roadmap and strategic direction, aligned to customer's business needs
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations, workshops, white papers, and solution proposals that highlight Rubrik technology and business value
• Help design and run a successful proof of concept remotely or in person
• Deliver data protection and storage sizing based on customer requirements like capacity, data growth and workload IO characteristics etc.
• Design the appropriate solution after analyzing the system or transaction logs from customer environment
• Help respond to RFPs and RFIs
• Help sales teams with Rubrik Business Reviews for existing customers covering areas like Rubik technology updates, security risk assessment, licensing review etc
• Work with the Product management and Engineering to influence product feature requirements and achieve consensus on delivery of features based on customer requirements and timelines
• Proactively identify technical issues and strive to closure to ensure customer satisfaction
• Brainstorm and implement workarounds to avoid deal blockers and meet customer requirements in timely manner
• Provide subject matter expertise to our field teams around specific products and solutions
• Summarize and deliver competitive insights to internal teams based on learnings from customer interactions
• Develop value based proposals using total cost of ownership and return on investment models

About you:

• 7+ years of demonstrated success in a customer facing pre-sales / post sales role proposing enterprise solutions at all levels of a customer organization
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience in working with customers and technology partners. Including influencing RFPs, POCs, delivering detailed product and solution presentations etc
• Experience running benchmarks and performance tests on enterprise computer systems desirable
• Experience creating scripts using languages such as Python, PowerShell, Go and JavaScript
• Experience selling and implementing Data Center Hardware or Software, Cloud Platforms, Data Security, IaaS, PaaS, or Hypervisor software
• Extensive hands on knowledge in at least two of the following areas

• Data protection solutions across both on premise and cloud environments
• Data security
• Cloud platforms; Azure, AWS, GCP
• Tier-1 applications like VMware, SAP, SAP HANA, Oracle database solutions, M365 etc
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience writing detailed complex documentation
• Very comfortable presenter of technical and business material to both small and large audiences
• Strong team player with a desire to continuously learn and have fun
• Self motivated and driven to achieve team goals. Comfortable working remotely in an autonomous manner
• Ability to travel, Approximately 25% - 50% travel required
