Job Description


The Senior Counselor in the Call Center at Chandigarh University plays a pivotal role in providing guidance and support to prospective students, parents, and other stakeholders. You will serve as a senior member of the call center team, helping individuals navigate the admission and enrollment process. Your expertise in understanding academic programs, admission requirements, and university policies will be essential in delivering accurate information and fostering a positive impression of the university. Key Responsibilities: Counseling and Guidance: Provide in-depth counseling and guidance to prospective students and their families regarding academic programs, admission criteria, scholarships, and other university-related matters. Respond to inquiries through phone, email, and other communication channels in a professional and informative manner. Admission Process: Assist students in completing applications and understanding the admission process. Review application documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with the admission team to facilitate smooth application processing. Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the university\'s academic programs, course offerings, and any changes in admission requirements. Educate prospective students about the university\'s offerings and advantages. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all interactions and inquiries. Utilize the university\'s CRM system to manage student data and communication. Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues with empathy and professionalism. Handle escalated inquiries and provide resolutions. Reporting: Prepare reports on inquiry and counseling data, including conversion rates and other relevant metrics. Share reports and insights with the Call Center Manager. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field. Proven experience in counseling, admissions, or a related field, with at least 2-3 years of experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with prospective students.
