Job Description

:

The Team:

India finance team is an exciting and challenging place that manages and / or executes the stewardship, control, reporting, tax compliance and decision support functions for the India region. The team touches almost every operational area of the organization with almost every activity translating into financial actions, implications or decision support.

A gist of various activities performed by the team:

Accounting and validations: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Revenue accounting and reconciliation, Employee compensation - payroll review, cost accruals and costs accounting, Petty Cash, Expense accounting, Employee reimbursements, Intercompany cross charge, Monthly and periodic reporting Compliances: Income Tax, including corporate tax, transfer pricing, withholding taxes; GST Compliances; RBI compliance and Compliance support to other functions such as secretarial and T&C (other payroll taxes) End to end Payroll processing including employee related statutory compliances (PF/ PT/ ESIC etc) Decision support on various organizational options, providing commercial-legal support Ensuring financial controls and risk management framework Dissemination of financial and management information Budgeting / forecasting Banking operations

Responsibilities:

The role will be responsible in a combination of the following activities as assigned from time to time

Core Functionalities

Performs quantitative analysis of operational, accounting, and financial data, assist management in decision making Build cohesive narratives in communicating results to senior management and present data in a simple and clear manner Create financial / Business analysis on a pro-active basis. Summarize conclusions and provide key takeaways to business units, corporate finance, and senior management. Proactively look for opportunities to optimize the current reporting structure and develop innovative ways to assess business performance Help drive and coordinate the budget, forecast and other key financial processes with stakeholders Build and manage financial databases by organizing and analyzing a wide range of data sources. Develop and generate financial reports, both routine and ad-hoc and will be responsible for automation of current processes Driving standardization & automation of existing reports across various Segments/Functions Maximize the effectiveness of technologies and supporting processes to drive continuous improvement and change initiatives. Drive cross functional co-ordinations and communications to help achieve seamless reporting.

Controlling

Review adherence to control processes, identify gaps and rectify.

Review relevance of controls at periodic intervals

Stakeholder management

Foster relationships with internal stakeholders such as Facilities, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, IT, India Business team etc.

Requisites:

Functional

Total industry experience of at least 7-8 years with a minimum of 4-5 years in a similar role

Good understanding of accounting principles

Ability to handle large data and derive meaningful information

Analytical bent of mind combined with financial acumen. Well-versed with Finance terminologies and deep understanding of the business and its key drivers

Logical, analytical and process oriented.

Should have working knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, Salesforce. tableau

Soft skills

A team player - Ability to work effectively in a team across the finance function

Oriented - Ability to draw to conclusions, Ability to provide solutions

Organized - Planning the execution before due dates

Communications - The incumbent needs to have excellent communication skills to be able to explain aspects in a clear and timely fashion.

A proactive, high energy attitude geared towards achieving continuous improvement and strong zeal to constantly look for ways and means to improve the 'way we work'

Ability to influence and collaborate cross-culturally with diverse individuals and teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline such as accounting, finance, statistics, or economics is required. MBA/ CA is preferred. Knowledge of Oracle general ledger modules, Access and Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Expertise with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI (or similar Business Intelligence tools). Prior experience in accounting and/or finance field Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated analytical skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
