The database market is massive (IDC estimates it to be $137.6 billion in 2026) and MongoDB is at the head of its disruption. We are the leading modern data platform in the world and we\'re looking for a senior manager to help us build a world class communications programme that will support rapid growth in APAC, focused on India and ASEAN. The role will cover all aspects of communications including media relations, customer content, thought leadership, messaging, social media and analyst relations. We are a small, agile team that has a sense of urgency, delivers high-quality results and takes pride in being able to help customers showcase their success with MongoDB. Partnering with our APAC comms director building this programme will be challenging and highly rewarding. For the right candidate we believe this position could be a seminal step in their career.
This role can be based out of our Bengaluru office or remotely in the India region.

Role Responsibilities

• Grow awareness for MongoDB Atlas as the #1 developer data platform for building applications on any of the major clouds
• Work collaboratively with local and global teams across MongoDB to drive awareness of MongoDB through owned and earned communications programs
• Own the development and running of the communications programme in India and ASEAN
• Develop and execute strategic media and analyst relations projects and campaigns
• Work with our partner agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver against quarterly objectives
• Build strong relationships directly with media, analysts, influencers, partners and customers
• Create compelling and effective customer content using a range of formats including video, blog and imagery
• Provide strategic counsel to the MongoDB sales and marketing teams on various communications situations as required in the region
• Maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders
• Develop and deliver social content, pitches, articles, blogs as required by the business

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• More than five years\' experience in communications with a proven track record of delivering fantastic results
• Experience working in at least one of our core markets for this role (India or ASEAN). Wider international experience is a plus
• The desire, resourcefulness and energy to take ownership of an immature, regional communications programme and build something phenomenal
• Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into meaningful and compelling business communications
• Ability to evangelize and educate internally and externally about our modern technology developer data platform.
• Familiarity with integrated marketing campaigns and tactics
• Have an exceedingly high Emotional IQ (EQ) and can facilitate trust in relationships.
• Willingness to be challenged, develop new skills and grow your career
• Able to travel as and when required
