Senior Analyst - IT PMO

Purpose:

Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for an IT PMO, Senior Analyst to define, sustain and continuously improve BSC\'s global project management (PM) process and standards. In this role the individual will enforce consistent execution of our existing PM practices spanning Intake of a new idea through planning, development, testing and through stabilization. Focus areas include project estimating, planning, active involvement in issues and risk management, and overall project status tracking. Role may lead small to medium size Projects as needed. This individual should be highly motivated with excellent analysis and execution skills. In this position, team work and networking with business partners and cross-functional IT team members is a necessary skill. The individual should enjoy working in a fast pace, high visibility and impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Subject matter expert on PM process expectations and reporting from intake through stabilization.

Understands project budget tracking process and ensures that the project financial accounting steps are accurately and consistently occurring.

Creates project funding mechanisms (POs, P&L orders) and produces project financial reporting.

Facilitates project and portfolio reviews to ensure delivery is on time, budget and to desired business partner requirements and specifications.

Creates, documents, and manages processes and best practices; identifies opportunities for improvement.

Responsible for cross functional communication including preparing and presenting IT and business partner governance boards and phase reviews.

Ensures accurate and timely entry and reporting of project metrics.

Identifies areas for process improvement and establishes effective and efficient processes.

Manages systems development or process improvement projects by applying project management methodology.

Provides input to functional managers on team and team member performance

Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree 7+ years\' experience in process oversight and/or information/software technology

Prior work experience in a PMO preferred

Medical device, life sciences industry background preferred

Experience in regulated environment

Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies

Experience partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects, including working with off-shore and geographically dispersed teams

Understanding of:

Creating and documenting processes

Training and communication

Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members

Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic

Exceptional organizational & time management skills
