Department: - RCR (Retail Credit Risk) RDM ASP within Risk IT department

In this role, you will:

• Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilising your skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand
• End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
• Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service's direction
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
• Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
• Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge.
• Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change
• Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
• Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement
• Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 5 years development experience
• Experience working in a global, corporate environment
• Understanding and experience of delivering within an Agile / DevOps environment using Jira
• Technology stack - ETL Knowledge, Pyspark, Unix Shell Scripting, Python, Spark, SQL, Big data tools - Hadoop, Hive, Devops tools
• Strong exposure in interpretation of business requirements from a technical perspective
• Design, develop and implement IT solutions that fulfill business users' requirements and conform to a high level of quality standard.
• Strong understand of DevOps methodologies and focus on delivering highly automated solutions
• Experience with Automation and DevOps tooling like G3, Nexus, Ansible, Jira, Git, test automation
• Candidate is expected to have the capabilities to immediately serve in role as the release and deployment SME/lead
• Requires expert proficiency in Pyspark, Linux scripting, SQL and Bigdata tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve all environmental and performance related issues in support of multiple environments.
• Ability to work with multiple IT teams located across the globe to provide technical solutions to meet the
• needs of various business areas within Retail Credit Risk
• Basic project management capabilities
• Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently on complex assignments
• Ability to learn and apply new toolsets and technologies quickly
• Remain current on technical and professional advances and business strategies regarding area of responsibility
• Serve as expert in area of responsibility, identifies process improvements and problem prevention, and advises department and management of relevant information as appropriate
• Communicate openly and honestly
• Excellent oral, written and visual communication and presentation skills - ability to communicate efficiently at a global level is paramount
• Ability to deliver materials of the highest quality to management against tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail with a process driven and highly methodical approach
• Self-starter, able to use initiative and make things happen
