About the role

This is an opening to join our growing Cloud Platform Engineering team delivering a multi cloud environment. We are growing our team of highly skilled and hardworking individuals who are helping to enable and evolve our cloud capabilities. This is an opening for someone who has an appetite for working with new tech in the cloud and is looking for responsibility, ownership and variety. You will be regularly challenged with new technologies, services, and ways of working in a large enterprise-scale environment. We are recruiting for Scrum Master for our Data Marketplace team. It is a full-time Grade D role to be based in our GITC site at Chennai.

As part of AstraZeneca\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise Data Marketplace (EDM) capability we are seeking a Scrum Master to own the hands-on day-to-day management of Agile delivery, ceremonies, and reporting. This means accountability for the clarity & accuracy of Agile metrics, excellence of ceremonies, consistent test-driven development, and collaborating with the Business Analyst, Project Manager, Scrum Master, and Tech Lead (Chennai-based principal engineer), to ensure effective day-to-day execution of a metrics-driven SDLC.

You will need a collaborative delivery approach to be successful. We use Scaled Agile with standard-length program increments (12-14 weeks). You will provide Scrum leadership throughout our software development lifecycle, from the initial development of a technical design based on a blueprint, right through to hypercare. Do you have a real passion for growing developers into their best skillset, and delivering well engineered data and analytics solutions that can help improve patients\xe2\x80\x99 lives? Essential skills and experience

Excellent Jira skills including the ability to rapidly generate JQL on-the-fly, and save JQL queries/filters/views/etc for publishing to fellow engineers & senior stakeholders.

Fantastic written & spoken English, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to delivery.

An enthusiasm for great documentation; significant experience in documenting via Confluence (and inspiring your colleagues to document their knowledge to avoid siloing of information).

Experience of Agile practices, preferably having been part of an Agile team for several years.

Desirable skills and experience

Experience as a developer and/or tester and/or Business Analyst, so that you can discuss code in detail, if necessary to unblock the technical team.
