Position Overview:
As a Senior Consultant at Aria, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial, accounting, taxation, and compliance services to our not-for-profit clientele. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the strategic direction, client relationships, and execution responsibilities of the practice. You will be directly reporting to a Senior Manager/Partner.

Role Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management & Operational Excellence:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with not-for-profit clients, understanding their charitable activities and unique financial challenges to provide tailored solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor on all things finance, offering strategic guidance and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality accounting, taxation, financial, and compliance services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Implement best practices, streamline processes, and utilise technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
Compliance and Regulatory Guidance:
- Assist clients in navigating complex regulations pertaining to Income tax, FCRA, GST, Companies law and other relevant laws concerning not-for-profits and ensuring compliance.
- Stay updated with evolving regulatory changes and provide proactive guidance to clients to ensure adherence and risk mitigation.
- Review agreements, develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard organisation\'s interests.
- Oversee client\'s legal matters, including contracts, agreements and litigation and liasion with legal advisors.
Financial Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct detailed financial analyses, assess organisation performance, and identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Develop and implement strategic financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management strategies, aligned with clients\' objectives.
- Oversee grant and donor reporting, budget preparation and MIS reporting, investment planning and optimisation of returns.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Management and Board of Directors/Trustees in implementation of financial strategies, policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Senior Management & Board of Directors/Trustees:
- Communicate periodically with the Senior Management & Board of Directors/Trustees on finance and compliance related matters concerning client\'s operations
- Attend Board Meetings and present such updates and key insights to the Board
Client Workshops and Training:
- Design and conduct workshops and training sessions for clients, focusing on governing laws, compliance policies and internal controls.
- Develop presentations and reference material as a guide, to facilitate comprehensive understanding and implementation of regulatory changes or best practices.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Aria, leveraging collective expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Work closely with client team members to understand their operations, goals, and challenges, ensuring alignment of consultancy solutions with their objectives.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel, partners, vendors, donors, etc. onboarded by clients, whenever necessary.
- Foster strong working relationships, actively listening to client perspectives, and integrating their insights into the development and execution of financial strategies.
Strategic Growth Initiatives:
- Actively participate in and contribute to the establishment of new verticals, initiatives, or service offerings approved by the Partners at Aria CFO Services.
- Work closely with Partners to implement strategic initiatives, providing comprehensive support in areas such as market analysis, resource allocation, and operational planning.
- Act as a liaison between Partners, internal teams, and clients, ensuring seamless execution and integration of new initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with a proven experience of 6+ years in a consultancy role within financial, taxation and compliance functions. Additional law degree is preferable.
- Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the non-profit sector in India.
- Exceptional financial acumen and experience in financial management and accounting.
In-depth knowledge of Indian financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements for the not-for-profit sector.
