Role Description:This position is based in Bangalore Work on Late shifts ending at 10PM IST and Sunday weekend on call (approx once a month)To work within Financials operations team understanding the large picture and provide excellent Support to Business Users on Critical Business IssuesTo ensure our client's issues are resolved within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and meeting their expectationsLeveraging the available tools within team, to ensure that system and critical incidents are correctly managed, ensuring timely resolution and as well focusing on strategic solutionsDetailed analysis of new issues and documenting associated fixes, along with training other colleagues in support teamThere is a lot of scope for developing new tools and scripts to assist the team, automate and reduce manual effortPrimary Responsibilities:Handle production management services including end user support, systems monitoring, incident management and problem management, plant management and event managementBuild extensive business and application knowledge required for supporting client facing applicationsDiagnose and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance and usabilityIdentify and implement automation to reduce toil, improve efficiency and eliminate customer impactProvide root cause analysis with recommendations for improvementsConfigure application monitors using industry standard monitoring tools, as well as developing customized monitoring solutionsInterface with clients and other technology teams to provide governance and control around the production environmentManage / Drive outage calls and significant incidents; coordinate communications financial controllers and IT groupsAct as a primary escalation/communication point between Application development teams and Business UnitsRequired Skills:Strong coding/scripting skills: Python / Perl / ShellDeep understating of Database Concepts, SQL Queries and Database PerformanceStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of Infrastructure (Windows/Unix), Networking concepts and protocolso Exposure to highly Distributed, High availability, Fault tolerant SystemsNice to HaveGIT / Jenkins / Ansible / GrafanaSplunk / Prometheus/ LokiAgile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)o Familiarity with Java and web/client-server applicationsFamiliarity with the principles of System/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)Familiarity with enterprise tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace
