Job Description


Strategic initiatives: Commodity strategy to maximize profitability and deliver the best price, quality, lead time Supplier agreements on key buyouts Accuracy on landed costs Bid support: Work with sales and proposals team to get timely quotes for proposals Responsible to coordinate for technical query closure Negotiate price, validity, TCs in line with the customer proposals Maintain accurate records of all bids, buyouts and create database for each commodity Accurate and competitive pricing during bidding and within agreed TAT s Project execution support Work with engineering team to get the quotes technically validated Negotiation with suppliers and order finalization. Vendor Registrations and DDQ Support tactical team for vendor follow-ups and timely order execution Address quality issues as applicable and collaborate with quality/inspections team Conduct E Sourcing events. Coordination with multiple departments Deliver savings compared to bid prices. Issue B2B buy-out POs for finished goods against sales orders, expedite critical orders, resolve issues with suppliers. Work closely with Customer Care Internal Sales Engineering team to reduce unclean order release to buy-out suppliers. Acknowledging shipment schedules of suppliers; cross-checking order confirmation and purchase order Focal point of liaising between Supplier, Order Entry Team, Customer Care and Sales teams. Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of handling electrical, networking and instrumentation products. Experience in Contract Management for labor and site services. Experience of handling project procurement and defining strategies for the same. Supplier Management: Work with suppliers to improve their flexibility to support surge and project orders Build and maintain supplier relationships and keep up good communications Handle correspondence for delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, prices etc. Raising requests to create new suppliers using online Emerson address book (CVDH) Others: New Vendor development, Vendor management, Vendor Audits Strong negotiation skills, able to handle complex negotiations. Excellent communication skills Detail oriented Excellent time/deadline management Maintain database for vendors, commodity prices. Knowledge of import-export rules, incoterms etc. Knowledge of Instruments will be of advantage. Experience of Middle East and Africa market Work with quality team for vendor quality performance and resolving quality issues if any Cross culture awareness Monthly KPI reporting
