Job Title: Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Locations: Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore

Reports to: Manager, Cloud Operations.

As a member of the Cloud Infrastructure team, you would be responsible for providing operational support for provisioning and maintenance of the overall infrastructure. IaC (Infrastructure as Code) is a vital component of this role, and you would need to be proficient in Terraform and Cloud automation tools. You would also be responsible for maintaining and managing entire cloud infrastructure of Kubernetes clusters.

A Senior Cloud Engineer is abreast of new evolving technologies and provides recommendations to Conga\'s Cloud team on innovative solutions to coordinate between the different stake holders across the board. Their role is critical to ensure the infrastructure is available for smooth day-to-day business operations to meet the customer\'s SLA and play a vital role in working towards the demands of the organization\'s growing customer base. It also enables Conga to tap into the full potential of the public cloud while maintaining an elevated level of control and visibility.

Are you the person we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for?

Related experience. This Ops Engineer should have experience working on one or more public clouds. They will be a part of the Cloud Ops team and will require a strong knowledge of application monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, automation, system & service reliability improvements.

Design and automate. You will design, automate, and manage highly available and scalable cloud applications that allow development teams to deploy and run their services. The role will automate deployments and manage these applications on the cloud (AWS/Azure).

You\xe2\x80\x99ll also work closely with Engineering and Architecture teams to develop systems that focus on scalability, high performance and security.

Build and deploy. You build end-to-end documentation to ensure visibility, and resiliency throughout the system. We ideally want to have someone with 5 - 8 years of experience in designing, deploying, and operating mid to large scale cloud environments. Ability to write queries and troubleshoot/tune databases e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.

Operations Centric. You should have an operations centric approach to everything you build, with an emphasis on availability, performance, compliance, and security.

Tools and Certifications. Working knowledge with Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA tools, experience managing container-based workloads, using Kubernetes or other orchestration software and highly proficient with Unix/Linux operating systems

Configure and Monitor. Expertise with infrastructure/configuration management systems such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Puppet. Familiarity with configuring and using monitoring/logging tools such as Data Dog, Sumo Logic, Splunk, Dynatrace.

Analytical thinker and creative problem solver. You should be able to see issues holistically and follow the flow of the stack to get to the root of the matter -- a key skill in this role. But where you really shine is with your ability to identify creative solutions to unique customer requirements. This is critical for ensuring our customer issues are being resolved in a manner that meets or exceeds their expectations without increasing their costs.

Willingness to work rotational shifts. Let\xe2\x80\x99s face it- our customers are in various time zones, so we need to support them. Our analysts can-if needed-be scheduled on rotational shifts and take turns carrying papers.

Willingness and flexibility to work and support 24x7x365 Production Operations. (rotational shifts)
