NVIDIA is seeking an innovative Senior CAD Engineer to help drive efficiency in design closure for the world\'s leading GPUs and SoCs with particular emphasis on large scale VLSI optimization, automation, and visualization. Together, we will build sophisticated tools that can demystify the most complex issues faced in backend design of chips for extreme computing in the latest process nodes.

What you will be doing:

Collaborate with technology leads, circuits and systems teams, VLSI physical design, and timing experts to define and deploy the most sophisticated strategies of signing off timing in design for world-class silicon performance.

Understand corner case timing sign-off risks in the latest 3nm and deeper technology nodes. Develop strategies to mitigate and margin for them.

Be responsible for Silicon projection and correlation to pre-silicon timing estimation.

Develop tools, and methodologies to improve design performance, predictability, and silicon reliability beyond what industry standard tools can offer.

What we need to see:

Masters and PhD degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of relevant work experience.

Deep understanding of backend design process, especially advanced STA.

Deep understanding of device physics \xc2\xb7 In-depth understanding of PT and/or Tempus, advanced spice \xc2\xb7 Expertise in coding- TCL, Perl, Python. C++ is a plus!

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
