We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

• Strong Testing concepts
• Good Knowledge on the automation tools, Selenium, RestAssured etc
• Good knowledge of languages and coding skills.
• Good knowledge of working in different automation frameworks such as BDD, TDD, hybrid, keyword etc
• Testing process based on Agile methodology

Primary purpose:

• Work with PO / TPM and Delivery Managers to define / refine the product backlog and facilitate prioritization
• Ensure that delivery inception activity, story mapping, sprint planning, daily stand-up and retrospectives are well facilitated
• Ensure that expectations are aligned with regards to the goals, scope and time-lines for product delivery during the sprint activity
• Ensuring that engineering teams follow defined agile approach to delivery and that activity is well coordinated accordingly
• Coordinate and facilitate with support teams for resolution of blockers if any.
• Ensure that all risks and issues are appropriately managed in alignment to the defined goal and scope
• Facilitation of programme level planning across multiple work streams
• Actively track the sprint output to ensure team is delivering to the sprint plan and produce appropriate metrics
• Take complete responsibility for the delivery of the projects/stories in scope for each sprint.
• Advise and guide teams to understand the best Agile practices e.g. Scrum Vs Kanban
• To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Experience of working in Infrastructure domain and Big Data deployments
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record in successful delivery of infrastructure aspects of large sized complex projects
• Strong belief in Agile/Lean working practices and experience of coaching at all levels, from delivery team to senior management
• Working with Global and remote teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
• A deep understanding of the strengths of different Agile approaches and when they should be used e.g. Scrum, Kanban etc.
• Experience of working in banking domain and platform engineering deploying large scale enterprise system
• Extensive experience of working with high performing agile teams in CI/CD environments
• Good to have some experience in delivering automations in platform engineering space.
• Excellent communication and stake holder management skills

Industry level certification on agile methodology will be an added advantage
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Testing process based on Agile methodology

Preparation Phases

• Ability to analyze and extrapolate details from the requirement documents/User Stories
• Preparing quality deliverables of Test Scenarios such as BDD feature files
• Preparing automation test cases via Selenium or Rest Assured depending on UI or API user stories
• Expectation of meeting the daily targets as per norms of the project.
• Ensuring minimum review comments by conducting sound peer reviews and walkthroughs and ensuring approvals are sought for each delivery with the associated stakeholders

• Knowledge of the Test Estimation process and ability to step up and deliver.
• Knowledge of the Risk based testing model and ability to enforce the model when requested
• Understanding of service level testing, databases and systems with multiple integration layers is an advantage
• Working in agile model and able to deliver within set sprint durations.
• Strong knowledge of test data management techniques needed for running the tests in different phases of the project lifecycle.

Execution Phases

• Ensuring that defects are traced unto closure and regular follow up is done
• Test Case execution targets to be achieved for the day/person which is an as per norms of the project
• Ensuring Jira is in synch for defects and regular follow-up with relevant stakeholders until closure
• Demo to be presented when needed with complete preparation and understanding stakeholder expectations
• Ability to suggest improvements to frameworks and scripts.

Ownership and Accountability:

• End to end accountability and ownership for the deliveries entrusted.
• Deliveries to be managed with quality in the given schedules.
• Issue Resolution with onus on the tester to get the solution as much as possible
• Adopting best testing and automation/coding practices
• Test reporting - Generation of various reports that will aid and add value to testing, E.g. Defect prediction, Daily Execution status, etc
