As a Senior Business Analyst , you will work together with a team of skilled software engineers, testers and product managers to develop, support and maintain our cloud-based Accounting Hub product. The successful candidate will have analytical skills and business knowledge in the Accounting, Insurance, Financial Services or related areas to learn and become a functional expert in our product. Experience with integrating software products with other corporate systems is a plus. The candidate will analyze business requirements coming from clients and product managers, convert them to detailed functional specifications and advise on how to best implement the features in the product. Excellent communication abilities are important. A proven results-oriented person with a delivery focus and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment. Qualifications Academic degree in Finance, Accounting, STEM discipline or equivalent experience 6+ years of experience in business analysis, ideally in the field of financial software & services Attentive to detail Effective problem solver Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in writing user stories in Jira & manual testing of the application. Ability to balance conflicting priorities and negotiate a backlog with engineers and leadership Organised and self-motivated, willing to learn Knowledge of financial services, banking or accounting concepts is a plus Experience with system integration is a plus Readiness to contribute to discussions and steer the team to continuously improve Responsibilities Additional Information Acquiring knowledge from PO, writing user stories & conveying it to Developers/QA. Acquire functional knowledge and become a subject matter expert in the software product we build. Product focus: Assist product managers and other stakeholders to translate market and customer feedback into business requirements. Based on the requirements you collected and analysed, produce functional specifications. Advise software engineers on how to implement the specifications, incorporating technical considerations. Be able to estimate technical tasks at high level. Support application testers with your functional knowledge in their task to create test scripts and set acceptance and quality criteria. Participate in application design sessions. Take an active role in troubleshooting problems with systems. Identify process improvement opportunities and work with other team members to implement. Ensure acceptance and quality criteria are met with current release and conduct reviews from a business/customer perspective. With product managers and engineering, produce internal and client documentation to support design, development, launch and deployment of product releases.
